Not a great comparison tbh. I think the modern game value versatility much more and midfielders who can do a few things worth a lot more. You need inside mids that win their own ball and provide support on the outside. You also need wingmen than can link up but are also willing to win a hard ball and attend a few stoppages. IMO Stephen is not only a better player but more valuable. Would love stephen at the eagles as he not only bring speed and class on the outside but becomes a legitimate option as an on ball rotation and/or injury cover. I would assume nearly every club would want a wingmen like him.

Again, i am not comparing the two against each other and im not disagreeing with what you are saying, everyone would love having a 40+ a year goal kicker that can move to an inside/outside midfielder and get 38 possessions in a match, but they are unheard of, no oh wait, like Sonny Walters :D

But seriously having 'one' player that can do what he does as good as if not better than anyone in the competition is something that seems to be a little "underappreciated" {just for you Barlow#14} simply because he doesnt move inside for the hard ball.

Yeah true. Imo opinion every midfield needs a very strong inside player and one strong outside player. The rest of your mids have to be versatile. You now just need Brad to be consistent and not have his hot and cold patches like he did at hawthorn.

Yep that is something that i want to see him prove. I also want to see how he handles a tag, if he keeps this form up that wont be far away!

So Stephen is better, but if he wasn't better than Brad would be?

I think you've gone around in circles here

My post clearly explains he's better because he can win more contested ball, at least in my opinion.

There's probably one tagger in the comp thats probably fit enough to run with him and thats sam gibson. Fortunately most taggers don't have the endurance to go with elite wingmen. If fyfe gets going, hill wont get tagged.

After now watching Brad Hill for a season and a half and continually being frustrated by S Hills lack of consistency i would formally like to change my vote.
Took your time.

You'll change again when he comes back to the Hawks :p
