And Melbourne haven't played finals in what 8-9 years ? Brisbane probably need administrative help, but no way do they deserve salary cap or draft concessions for years of incompetent management.

The fact you use the term "interstate" is indicative of the problem. There's Victorian teams and then "interstate" teams lol. Victorian teams are interstate teams to me, so why don't the commentators describe them as "interstate" when they call Crows' games?

I'm not saying that I agree that the AFL don't care about the Lions, just mentioning because the "interstate" thing is a pet peeve of mine and so true.

He is partially correct though.
Just because AFL isn't going so well in Queensland doesn't mean Australian Rules isn't doing fine up there. As Ive said before, family up there reckon grassroots is going gangbusters and participation rates are through the roof.

The only problem for footy in QLD is GC and Brisbane being so shit. GC are on the up, give them a year without injury and they'll do a GWS.

Brisbane looks f***ed from every possible angle though.
