We had to win that one Mobbs - The Roy cannot believe we let our bunnies give us such a pasting !

We now have the 3 Big ones in a row - we must take advantage of Rupo's little slump or we are in massive strife. Absolutely no hope against the OC's and then we have the Gurus lads at BSO - shaping as a defining game. A tough one to finish with the Friars away - oh well, a Dgrade flag in 08 is not to be snorted at.

t

I like the sly Ben Cousins reference. Next week will be the big one Roy. Rupo are a little wobbly. Come out hard and the game may be yours. Give them the feeling early that you guys are playing for the end of season trip and a belting will await you.
In hindsight, that little visit you made to the B-Grade thread introducing yourself as an 08 participant may have been a touch premature....
Long Live the Mighty Roys.

Early whispers suggest things will be all ok for the Loatenator. Similar murmurings were heard the week before after what looked like a case of a soft tissue injury late in the second against Rupo. May be rested this week as a precaution i would expect. Needs to string some together as his timing re marking is a little off at present.

If that's the case Loats should be renamed Lazarus as when he left the ground his AC joint was pointing in a direction it quite clearly shouldn't have been.

As much as his marking is a little off, with the silver service he receives and (stating the obvious) his height- he's still capable of kicking goals and providing headaches to the best of backman, as the best in the business Chris Hosking got a real touch up for the first time since Heritage from Old Essendon gave him the run around about 4-5 years back.

4-6 weeks is the whisper I'm hearing!!
Apparently the contact was very crude and may have been a report if the umpire wasn't a half-wit!

Crude? Not at all. Certainly should have been a free kick, though those suggesting it should have been reportable are the half-wits. Merely an over zealous spoil after which he unfortunatley fell on Loats' as they came to ground.

This is not the first time we've seen the word Loats and 'string in the same paragraph is it? :D

His extended absence with an A/C will hurt the Wellers a bit, as it places more pressure on Chard and Deane-Johns (if he plays forward). I still think those blokes would be the equal of any other key forward pairing in the section, so they should be able to cover for him in the run to the finals

Ahh Monkey, you make me laugh!

What would you know about "early whispers" out of Camberwell??

It is amazing how a team can change when you get a couple of injuries. The scribes on the hill at Rupo even had to call for the trainer as they seemed to have a touch of ump-itis.
Why they were even heard complaining about the magpies in the trees. Not Happy Jan!!

Hey Guru, how many games have Parky lost on or after the siren now? Gotta be heartbreaking to be so close yet sooooo far.

King, any news on Plumms ankle, is it broken? What time did he get out of Sunshine Hospital?
Monkey, you know more than I do!!!

Where are you from? you know everything. Plumms wil be 2-3 weeks (not a break) and was out of hospital around 7p.m. Rupo had their sharpest session for about 7 weeks tonight, look for a form reversal hopefully similar to the Eagles.

Yep, pretty devastating, but alas, what can you do, suffice to say that opposition clubs have known what footy is all about when they have played against the mighty Vultures.

Very proud of the achievements that the 'Gerry Green' lads have achieved in recent years

We may not be in the 'top half of the ladder' but I refuse to concede that my catchcry is all but over!!!

"NEWOTV..." :thumbsu:

Guru, big one this week?

I hear you may have to contend with John Barker, which will make your job harder.

Look out for the Reds to upset Rupo .

I doubt that, you guys barely gave a yelp at the weekend...

This kills the great one, but I must agree with Gunn Reserve there, Reds were horrible, the term non-competitive comes to mind. Looking foward to rupo on the rebound............................NOT.

the Scribe has been a bit quiet - c'mon Frase please tell the Red that we are going to pull this one out of the fire and then spank the two OC's to assure ourselves a place in C Grade.

the roy has faith but it has been heavily tested, (not quite as heavily as the priest at St Patricks who had a bit of a tanite at the skateboarders!) the Roy thinks we may need some devine intervention - training on thursday will involve 6 Hil Marys and a dozen our fathers !!

Yours

the Enlightened One

Injuries or No injuries, Rupo were crap last Saturday. Very poor effort by the majority and a little bit of hardness left to a few. Will need to get back on track pretty quick or all the great work done up to a fortnight could be all for nothing.

Predictions-Pretty uneventfull round really

Reds to continue Rupo's woes in a must win game for the club

Carey to smash ormond -dutchy to kick 6

Camberwell ditto to Monash...could get very ugly this one

Parkdale over nobs just..but watch for John Barker

Mazenod easily over whitefriars

Rupo to continue the downward (D Grade?) spiral for the Reds - Reds with nothing bar Davis & Meighen (Great dukes on the bloke!)
Ormond in a tight one over Carey
Camberwell to smash Monash
Parkdale over NOBS... just
Mazenod comfortably over the 'Friars

Yeh right, Ormond?

Carey will win by 12 goals.
