Who would you rather have in your team in the future. it is no good using now as most will say "Max Bailey is injured, Wood has a rising star nom." which is why i state the future.

Max bailey was pick 18(?) 2005 while Wood was pick 18(?) also in 2004. Both have about the same amount of experience ATM, so if you wish to still use that as an indication, make sure you have seen matches by both these guys before you pass judgment.

From what i have seen of Bails, He is going to be a star, asuming he does not get the dreaded 36 curse like so many before him (he got out early though, he may be lucky) and can recover from the injury. Have seen him take a fair few contested grabs, including one against Ian Perrie in his first match, 2nd rd of the 2006 NAB cup. Also seems to be able to take the ruck duties well. In his short time has had to contest with Everitt, an improving Campbell, and an underdone Taylor (who i believe he was on par with).

Wood has had a fairly easy ride so far this year. Was sort of thrown into the ruck with Brissie's main guys out. Do not think he played a game last year, and this year may have been the same if the main guys were in.

At the moment i would select Wood, however, i believe Bailey has more to offer in the future. Bailey for me

You tell people they cant vote unless they have watched both of them play, but failed to notice Wood played 7 games last year

Wood, McIntosh and Minson will all be the dominant ruckman in 2-3 years.

I dont think Bailey will be in that list.

Just to correct you on a few things - Wood played 7 games last year, and with Charman out, Wood has been our first choice ruckman, including in the NAB Cup.

I think your 'easy ride' comment is nonsense and reflects a very biased presentation of your poll. Charman being injured has nothing to do with how good Wood is as a player. In any case I would argue Bailey has had an even easier ride as far as competition for spots go.

Sorry, i did not know He played last year, but in terms of competition for spots, Wood has had it a lot easier, after all, he played last year when brissie pretty much hit breaking point, while Bailey was competing for a spot in a side which was improving, especially the last 4 matches.

I am sorry if i presented any bias towards bailey, i tried keeping it as neutral as possible so i could get more responses from a wider range of supporters. I will make sure i research the topic more next time and be more clear in my expression.

Wood is a great talent, so is Bailey.

The thing that is against big Bails is his knee injury. Who knows how he'll recover from that, but we expect him to hold down the Number 1 ruck possie for years..

I'm voting Wood just to give the Hawks the finger.

Stupid pointless poll.
Mind if i give you a second on that?

If people are saying Wood's the best young ruckman in the league, what in God's name would posses you to put him up against Max "Who?" Bailey.

Your setting yourself up for embarrasment. FFS, moron.

It's a stupid poll not because Wood is a far better player but because both are very inexperienced ruckman. Bailey has only had a year on the Hawks list and Wood only two. Considering how long ruckman take to get themselves ready for AFL footy this poll is about 4 years premature. It's a stupid pointless poll.

What an absolute load of tripe.

First you go on a long tirade about the greatness of Max Bailey, tell people not to vote unless they have seen both play, and then demonstrate you have no idea about Cameron Wood. What do you mean he has had an easy ride this year? He has forced his way to become Brisbane's number 1 ruckmen with Charman spending the majority of time up forward. The competition for ruck spots in the Brisbane outfit has been heated since Wood has been at the club - Charman, Wood, Keating, McDonald, Clark, Leunenberger. Then you go on to say he probably wouldn't have been given a game this year!!! Clueless.

If you are going to start a poll, at least have some knowledge about your subjects.
