Regardless, he was moving very well today and is finally in the best shape of his career.

Nah I don't think so. Considering up until a couple of years ago, he was going to a Queensland fat farm prior to each preseason, I don't think we do keep going on about it. Last year we did but then he was dragging a tyre around a paddock in his spare time and did present himself pretty well.

I'm just letting people know they can't call him fat unless he does get fat again. I don't have a lot of confidence he will maintain it but at the moment ... all I can say is halle-bloody-llujah

Are you guys posting the photo links for real thinking Lance looks in shape??! I don't think anyone doubts that Lance has a good footy brain, but geez he has a lousy footy body.

Compare the photo's you posted to any other key position player in the AFL. Lance should be matching physiques with Lloyd and Tarrant, or even Welsh, Bradshaw and Kingsley... get out and look at his equivalents guys, he's sadly lacking.

Some of those pics caught me by surprise too. It's bloody good though!

I was worried that in a couple of years he'd be too unfit to play. And then in another 20 years, well.....

I hope the club did more for him than just giving orders to lose weight. I know it's the player's responsibility, but if your have dieticians, make the most of them. So much wasted time.... and talent for that matter.

I'll answer the question as though you are genuine and I hope you will consider my response with honesty.

Lance Whitnall will never have muscle tone, it simply is not his body type. However, he continually gets back for being fat. As evidenced by today's photos, does he look fat? Leave out of the equation whether he has a rippling physique or not, because nobody is saying that. Don't compare him to other footballers, just look at him and decide if he looks fat. That's fair isn't it? That is after all, all that is being stated here. Other posters are reading preseason form, season prospects, bulging muscles and everything else into the thread so they can have a comeback.

I hear Rioli has trimmed down this year? Post a picture and if it is true, I will freely acknowledge it.

I have merely suggested people can give the fat jokes a rest now. If he is not fat, then the joke is not applicable.
