There is no known universe where the centred mind set can be anywhere near authoritarian.

Getting sacked for not using a seatbelt on a mind site is a bit of stretch to conflate the two (if that was Kranky's intent).

Innocent people prosecuted, jail time, divorces, lost homes, a couple of suicides, hundreds of thousands of pounds in financial losses... worse than the Centrelink Robodebt thing here.

But then I looked a few pictures of those who had their lives ruined. Nearly all white, middle aged, men and women. Boomers.

Victimless crime, right?

I’m out at a bhp site and all the buses have seat belts and if you get caught not using it (there are cameras that get reviewed) you get a free flight home. You get used to it really quickly and now I look at things like this and go wtf don’t they have this in all buses. You wouldn’t consider not wearing one in your car….. and modern bus braking systems are phenomenal .

We send kids to school without seatbelts- stupid stupid stupid…

You underestimate how good a modern bus’ brakes are. I did a crash stop from 80kmh in one a few weeks back and people will have serious injuries if not braced with their arms ready.

Currently in South Africa, whether or not you are an "HDI" (historically disadvantaged individual) or a non-HDI plays a large part in whether or not water licenses are granted in order for people to continue running their farms.

Considering SA is currently going to hell in a handbasket, economically speaking, you'd think the powers that be would be more inclined to sponsor those things keeping the country going... but nooope.

"HDI"... gotta love it. We should introduce that in Australia - instead of all these boxes we have to choose from when looking for a job, we just replace the whole lot with HDI or Non-HDI and make the whole thing easier. Choice of two.
We're at the point now where, hyperbolically speaking, about 90% of people could tick HDI for some reason, and the other ten percent would be asked quite seriously at the employment office "what, can't you think of anything? I'm just trying to help" (True story).

The 10% of people who are honest enough to tick Non-HDI could be eliminated straight away. Marvelous. All the honest folks would be left running checkouts and wotnot at 2am... which I suppose would be a good thing really, because at least then you know when you're a bit under the influence of something and picking up an early morning snack and a Ribena hit, you can be sure you're going to get the correct change and a have a good one.

So, when we're equating left and right wing extremism (or not), I think it needs to be borne in mind that those who get a bit peeved after a while and start doing extreme things, it's usually a response to something else.
There will always be those who believe their own particular ideology to be more important than any notion of what might be good for the people.

Or, as I've said in the past - They exist, because you do.

what i’ve read from unbiased news sources and actual saffers is that they’re victims of crime that’s affecting everyone, not just the whites. the irony of the situation is that the moment these refugees were “saved” by america, the whole “starving farmer” angle imploded upon itself.

from my reading, no intergovernmental agencies. like the UN, NATO, any others i can think of, have recognised or acknowledged that there is a “genocide” happening in south africa.

Haha my mum's French Canadian and my dad's Zimbabwean. Her maiden name is Dubé and Dube without the accent is like Smith as a surname for Shona people. When they got engaged in England my grandparents announced their marriage in the local paper they spelled her name Dube and people thought he was marrying a black women which was a strict no no in late 60s Zimbabwe.

Can't recall who pointed it out - ABC podcaster - but of the thousands of murders, a small number are on farms, a smaller number are actual farmers, and there aren't distinctions between white and black victims in the numbers they found.

Crime is a big problem. Murders during robberies are a big problem. And the records they found didn't indicate any "white genocide" reasons behind the farm murders.
