Yep, I tipped Carlton, too. What a great result - seeing the Saints destroyed and seeing us on top of the ladder. Sets up next Friday's game as a true blockbuster.

I tipped 8 winners this week.:thumbsu:
I even went to the game tonight to watch the scum beat the trailer trash.:D
First time in my life I wanted Carlton to win a game.
Don't know what got into me.
I had a feeling they would give it to them.
Our backline is extremely under rated.
We had the speed to stop Carlton which St.Kilda did not have.

I tipped 7, I missed out on Freo over Brisbane. It was the first time in years that I wanted Carlton to win a game because I now hate the Saints more than the Blues. Can't believe that I was upset when Carlton missed a shot at goal!

lol wait for the carlton flogs to start talking about them being better then us. eg 1 carlton flog in bay 13 is running his mouth

Good to see that not all Carlton fans are carried away with the win - or their captain.:p

http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/showthread.php?t=705597

Watching Channel 7's Gameday last night, and seeing the Judd interview, I couldn't help but feel that there is a certain lack of respect being shown to the captain of our football club. He is trying to do a media interview, and yet there is a certain bonehead throwing his socks at him. Juddy, in typical fashion laughed this off, but there was another instance a couple of minutes later where something else got thrown at him. In reaction to this he looked a little upset; no laughing, but just seemed to take a deep breath.

Looking back on seeing the song sung now, the player standing next to Judd even tried to eye gouge him, wtf?

I don't know guys, do the boys down at the club have that much respect for Judd? I'm sure if they did they certainly wouldn't be doing this to him. Certainly angered me to see the captain treated with such disrespect.

Furthermore, Tim Watson said that the Carlton boys celebrate a win as good as any. This also made me uneasy; yeah celebrate the win, but at the end of the day it's just 4 points. I just think there might be too much of a party boy culture down there at the moment, and they aren't complete football professionals as of yet.

The win last round over them looks great now, They beat Geelong and Saints, but we smashed them, they weren't out of form, just shows how good our form is at the moment.
You are wrong to think Shaun, that our form against Collingwood was consistent with the form we showed against Geelong and the Saints.

First, I rate the Geelong and St Kilda mids over Collingwood. We more than held our own against Geelong mids and thrashed St Kilda's mids. That we were beaten by the Collingwood mids is proof that we were not on our game (or alternatively both Geelong and St Kilda mids were off against us).
Secondly we are a very young and relatively inexperienced side and with that comes inconsistency. There is no doubt he Carlton mindset got ahead of itself when facing the pies. You have a relatively anonymous and therefore easily under-rated midfield. I suspect no proper game-plan went into combatting your lot - just play and win. You on the other hand went in with particular strategies against our leading mids and it paid off.

The game was won (and lost) in the midfield, as was demonstrated during the start of the third quarter when the Carlton mids dominated. Next time I expect more careful attention will be given to your midfield with a happier outcome from a Carlton perspective.

HAHAHA is this a serious post? You think Carlscum went in with a game plan of "just play and win"? Dude I don't think the Carlscum coaching staff are that deluded with the talent of your side.

Standard post "We played bad, we were not switched on blah blah blah".

Keep it on your own board.

Laughing my arse off!!!

Give this peanut a Winty nomination.

Without doubt the most deluded supporters in the afl..nothing but cheats who would sell there soul for success..

What do these peanuts have in common:

Krezuer
gibbs
murphy

they were all obtained by winning wooden spoons... So they all should run out with spoons on there jumper..

Joke of a club and will look forward to another 10 goal thumping..lol pretenders

Okay, so your logic is that because Carlton had comfortable wins over Geelong & St Kilda, and you had a comfortable win over the Blues, so you're that much better than the 2 teams who played off for the 2009 premiership cup.

So, let's cut to the chase - are you going to win the premiership this year?

i will cut to the chase:

f off u pretenders AND STOP TRYING TO BE LIKE US!!!

16 premierships over 14 premierships, and Carlton are the pretenders?

- so why would we want to be like you?

and you haven't answered the question, are you going to win the premiership this year? Or are you just happy winning home and away games?

I guess any love there was on this board for Carlton due to its win over St.Kilda has since evaporated.

Only bad thing about them winning is listening to this idiot Andrew Maher on SEN. Muppet of the highest proportion. Heard him say yesterday that we hadn't beaten anyone  wonder if he'll now change his tune.

He's right, you haven't ...besides the Dogs who have been dodgy this season, and Carlton

You haven't even beaten Carlton. Go and light up a candle in memory of your 2010 season.

That's funny, I actually thought the game was won and lost in the first quarter, second quarter, last 15 minutes of the third quarter and then the entire last quarter. It was just that 110 minute period of being blitzed that cost Carlton the win. So close...

You should read your own board Windhover, even your fellow scum supporters said that you lsot because Collingwood is a better and more developed side. Carlton played as well as they could've, Setanta kicked 5 goals for gods sake, isn't that his biggest haul this year? Judd was deemed BOG by the commentators (undeservedly so, but it shows he had a decent game). Where is the improvement going to come from next time?

Collingwood is a better side than Carlton. Deal with it.

If you are going to take the trouble to respond to my posts Zahki why don't you try and read them. You say Collingwood is a more developed side. Didn't I argue the same from the other side of the coin (that Carlton was a more inexperienced (hence less developed) side? Yes I did.

Since we are agreed on at least that one thing, do you think it a reasonable conclusion that a relatively inexperienced side might play inconsistently, as I have argued? Yes you do.

And what information does that little mental exercise tell us. Well, we know that Carlton belted Geelong and St Kilda either side of the Collingwood game. Some of your posters would have this fact as "proof" that Carlton were in good form, but we all know form can be a fickle thing. And, most importantly, form will be fickle when a team is inexperienced and hence (as we have concluded above) relatively inconsistent.

I do not expect this exploration to have delivered a tasteful conclusion to your awful predeliction. But at least when next our teams meet, you will be readier for the result than you would otherwise have been. This should help you from turning on the pie players for their poor performance and engaging in the sort of anti-social behaviour your supporters are notorious for. [I see this post as my assistance to social welfare.]
