Hopefully - most hopefully - fingers crossed - holding the Rosary beads and all the rest of it - there isnt another Preliminary Final loss - because i reckon the Cats would hold the record from day dot of the VFL/AFL

The ones i can recall since 1960 onwards

1962 - 1964- 1968 -1980- 1981- 1991- 2005 - plus all the others from 2013 onwards which i cant be bothered looking up the exact years
2005 was a semi. You might be thinking of 2004 v Brisbane.

Cats social media team having a field day

They are sooooo much better this year

That said, that untameable hashtag thing is shit house

Lol, I see there are still some extra strong pharmaceuticals available at the “hanger”.

“Whatever it takes” hey ?

🤣🤣
Don't know what you're laughing about, Brisbane or Melbourne compared to the other option.

Yes... the Cats have be extraordinarily unlucky in finals over the years.
For Cats to win the premiership they have to be at least a 4 goal better team.
As a non Melbourne based team they could never expect to get any "umpiring luck"
Since 2011 and 3 flags won, that "umpiring luck" will also favor the underdog/newbie.
Blame it on human nature like unconscious bias.

When it's Monday & you're still sooking about the match from last Saturday

But then numerous others point out that yet again it's not as simple as Ginnivan being hard done by, but rather him contributing to the action of trying to draw a free kick

Our PF record is very poor from 2013 onwards.

I'm not sure an 11-11 record from the 60s could be considered poor though. In fact it was 10-5 from 1963 to 2011, so would be considered excellent across that period.
So in 48 years we made 22 prelims...is that correct?

Just installed today a dirty big new TV for finals, that will improve my already ace lip reading skills.
At 3.52 left in the game, Cameron tells the boys there is 4 minutes left to go.
How did he know this? Runner?
I couldn't see any countdown clock at the MCG, and the previous quarter went for 34 minutes.

*answer, get 50 pages up please.

This is why ratings points need to be taken with a grain of salt. Heavily influenced by seagull uncontested possessions that didn't cause any damage. See Pendlebury - the number of possessions with hurt factor was less than Selwood.

J.Daicos, De Goey and Moore were excellent, absolutely. No issue with that.

I liked C.Guthrie's game but he wasn't in our best 7 or 8.

Cameron with almost double the number of score involvements as the next best player gets 78 (I know, the coaches on this one somehow agreed)?

Noble and D.Cameron were decent but nowhere near the top 10 players on the ground.

N.Daicos after a stunning first quarter made mistakes and fumbled it quite a bit.

Duncan and Atkins absolutely influenced the final result more than Sidebottom and Crisp.

Rohan nowhere to be seem despite finishing top I'm coaches votes, 3 important goals, 1 goal assist and 2 goal assists he should've had (Holmes fumbles one, Duncan kicks a point on another).

Stewart had a better game than Maynard.

The list goes on...

Yeh, must be. Have only seen the last 2 minutes board.
It seems so antiquated. I had a conversation with a VFL player about how difficult it is to hear at the ground and then see the bench waving furiously at them to come off.

I was directly opposite the bench at ground level - both teams would hold up time left, five, four, three, two, one-thirty, one. Not sure I spotted the thirty second. Once you see them though, there is nothing left to the imagination. Should just have the clock on the screen - maybe turn it off with a minute to go

There is also a sponsor deal with a watch brand (I think) and they have the time left on the electronic fence signage with about 4-5 mins left in each quarter
