Does even have to smash. Just apply a half decent tackle.
One where he chases him, but not too fast, pins his arms so he can't dispose of the ball, but then lets one go, and just incase Goldy is falling forwards, spins around 1 armed and gets a 9.9 from all judges for the landing.

But then gets pinged as big Goldy has landed on the ball and busted a couple of ribs. X will get done for not correctly assessing the situation and removing the ball as a possible danger. 3 weeks.

The bump is gone
Tackling's dead

Thursday night footy is great... on TV. Even when I get caught up in a game up until the last siren I often notice the time and go, "shit, I need to be in bed"

Cheer squad banner should read:

"Caleb Daniel: 200 games
548 prudent tackles"

You know, we've waited a long time to play Port at Marvel, quite strange that hasn't happened, this was probably the next best thing, and he lost it so bad, after the free kick, then the 50, then the goal, at the end of the quarter when Kenny was talking to him he actually turned and walked away before Zach Butters grabbed him and Kenny FINISHED WHAT HE WAS SAYING, not that he would have heard one word, he was seeing red. :winkv1:

No better time to turn it around. Only consistent performer for the year out to a bullshit suspension, against the team most of us hate most, and the league's thrown us a mild bone with a primetime fixture, probably anticipating we'd have won three or so by now.

Everything's in place for a competitive showing.

For the first quarter and a bit before we concede seven in a row and throw the game away

  • come out swinging but mess up 4 opportunities for goals
  • let oppo pile on 7 quickly before quarter time
  • spend rest of game playing catch up but never quite breaking through that 3 goal buffer

Feeling this kind of game.

I have tipped North by 14.

**** I don’t want these campaigners back in.

But maybe Corr and Logue in.

Chom to take PC spot as a marking/50-50 forward

Tucker out.

Daniel’s to sit out his 200th.

I don’t like debut subs.

But Duursma as the hit up half forward and Zurhaar deeper in PC role where he at least attempts to do the only thing he’s ever interested in (kicking goals) seems to be logical.

With Payne as a sub?
Or Zurhaar as sub , Payne out there to try and wreck some havoc (knowing/feeling a " senior" player is sub for him?)

Dunno having a brain fart, hopefully we have gone to court and Curtis is playing.. ;)

Id give Geordie Payne a run this week. Ford comes in too. Essendon dont have a huge forward line, Dawson and Chom can take Wright and Caddy. Surely Philips can run with Merrett.

Ins: Payne, Ford, Philips
Outs: Curtis (still in disbelief), Konstanty, Tucker.

And Maley is not the saviour.

I can't see them dropping Konstanty and having two smalls out of the forward line.

In: Payne/Cooper ... but would prefer Ford, Phillips
Out: Curtis  and Tucker

I don't mind the idea of Tucker as a tagger, but gee he failed at it last week so has to make way.

Payne for sure. Just play the kid, especially against Essington. Simplify his role to just crack a few heads.

I do mind, he's shit. Slow, Kicks like a Papa, not particularly ferocious, not overly tall - I'm trying to list his redeeming features, maybe he rocks up on time in correct uniform.
