Don’t take away our one last piece of enjoymentIf anyone needs to be "managed", it's Wardlaw after a 5 day break.
I'd probably rest him.Don’t take away our one last piece of enjoyment
On the face of things, this seems fair enough. We expect Tucker to get dropped. However, this was the first game (excluding Melbourne, who were a rabble), where our structure appeared to hold up. Was Tucker playing a very selfless role? We’ll find out at selection, I guess.Tucker has earned a demotion with his absolute anonymous performance. Scott has shown more than enough in the past. He deserved to be dropped but so does Tucker. This is who we've got.
I know you're playing devil's advocate, but no player is so good at being selfless that they don't touch the ball.On the face of things, this seems fair enough. We expect Tucker to get dropped. Why? You give him a light week. He doesn’t have to train. He can do light work and stretching which is probably what they’ll doI'd probably rest him.
And selfless is fine if the bloke you're tagging doesn't get near it. When he has 27 and 5 inside 50s ... selfless doesn't matterI know you're playing devil's advocate, but no player is so good at being selfless that they don't touch the ball.
Exactly. Reality is that if he was sub instead of Duursma in all likelihood we win that game. Corr / Logue showed that you retain senior players in solid form - the rest make way.And selfless is fine if the bloke you're tagging doesn't get near it. Maybe. Let's see. But if we rest anyone. It's him. Why? You give him a light week. He doesn’t have to train. He can do light work and stretching which is probably what they’ll do
If a 20yo needs a rest after 2 weeks that's a concern in and of itself.Maybe. Let's see. But if we rest anyone. It's him.
Ridiculous callMaybe. Let's see. But if we rest anyone. It's him.

Are you just suggesting to play Tucker as sub? Because Duursma was in the 23…If Curtis is cleared.
Out Tucker. In Duursma.
Seriously, this shouldn't be a discussion anymore should it.
If Curtis isn't cleared.
Out Curtis & Tucker. In Duursma & Phillips.
Sheezel to play Curtis' role.
Barring senior experience, how has Cooper been better than Payne ?, in 4 games, Cooper 7 goals, 11 tackles, Payne 6 goals, 20 tackles, and in a sprint race, i'm backing GeordieCooper Harvey been better than payne
Cooper looks much smarter as a forward though.Barring senior experience, how has Cooper been better than Payne ?, in 4 games, Cooper 7 goals, 11 tackles, Payne 6 goals, 20 tackles, and in a sprint race, i'm backing Geordie
Tucker did a role and it was OK. Not good, not great, not terrible, just OK.And selfless is fine if the bloke you're tagging doesn't get near it. When he has 27 and 5 inside 50s ... selfless doesn't matter
Hahahaha wtf is this?Tucker did a role and it was OK. Not good, not great, not terrible, just OK.
It's worth considering that 10 of those 27 came in the 4th when Tucker was no longer doing that role. Rozee also had 290m gained in the 4th quarter alone (in a total of 720m), and his touches were much more damaging. There's clear night and day from when Tucker was on him and when he wasn't. Is that enough to justify the zero touches? In a team travelling better probably not. For us? Maybe.
Clarko likes players that do what he tells them (see Stephens getting a run each week), so I think Tucker will be safe this week once again, especially if Curtis gets time off.
Nup, I'm referring to the 22.Are you just suggesting to play Tucker as sub? Because Duursma was in the 23…
