The midfield is the issue yet none of those unaccountable squibs get dropped.

Going into a game with Dawson & Comben as your key defenders is gifted the opposition a 5 goal head start imo.

Think we might find one of them has been demoted to sub and the other might get booted to the half back line. I hope anyway.

Logue was an obvious one. Corr's omission makes very little sense given Georgiades, Finlayson and Lord will all be playing. They showed vision of one shit effort from him but I didn't think he was that bad. Definitely should've been others in the firing line

Georgiades can play I’ll admit, but Lord is lumbering around doing SFA at the moment (cue kicking 8 this week). Port score a lot from their smaller forwards, and both Corr and Logue are both half-**** when the ball hits the deck.

Nope, had to be done and I like the message it sends to other senior players. They're on notice. This is the type of selection I have been waiting for. Although I think Phillips probably deserved a crack instead of Powell or LDU.

The changes have more to do with long term goals. First time we have dropped 2 senior players in one week. It is a young side without Corr, Logue and Fisher but something had to give.

Logue and Corr deserve to be dropped for poor defensive zoning and efforts in general.
They shouldn't be struggling to pick up groundballs and hitting handball targets at their experience level.
Leaves us a little small down back to cover Georgiades and Lord though which is interesting.

I would've had Powell or Kerch out for Phillips, but it's up to the mids to respond to the learnings.

There's still an order to these things. Corr has been whelming, yes. But Powell and McKercher should've both been in the gun. Instead we've pivoted to one of the worst one-on-one defenders in the league and Kallan Dawson to man a three-pronged forward line. Logue aside, we're targeting the wrong area of the ground for changes imo
