Then he comes in for Griff

Pav was cleared.
Not sure what you're on about. The "forward only" players had between 5 - 10 possessions each (Pav actually started in one centre square bounce). Walters had 13 but cycled through the midfield on occasion. Why single out our debutant? (effectively the first time Weller has been selected for a full game with no sub impact or resting of players).
Weller has earned the right to 5 senior games on the trot. Incidentally he didn't get gifted a goal - while it looked simple, without him choosing to accelerate on receipt, he wouldn't have scored. Mayne would not have scored as his inevitable hesitation would have seen the chance lost.
Surely you'd focus on the real issue - the game plan and then our long run poorly performing senior players like Mayne, Suban, C Pearce, Mzungu and now Barlow. The first four, along with de Boer, should now be Peel players and used as depth only.
Captain obvious comment here. Mora hasn't played for ages and hasn't even played for Peel in 2016 so pretty clear he is not fit. If you read my post my critique of Weller was based on how far he played of his man when the Bulldogs had the ball. Mental capacity? Yep Im sure Ive got you covered thanks. Mayne's not my best mate. I though he was terrible. I was responding to a post about Weller showing effort.I'll do some research when you learn to read.
Did you see where I said (If fit)?
I'm doubting you mental capacity if you think Weller was worst on ground. Our biggest issue yesterday was skills. Weller only had 5 disposals but at least each one of them was effective. Oh and he was the only player to lay a tackle in the forward 50, oh and he scored 20% of our goals. Yes it was a gimme but at least he was in the right place at the right time.
Your best mate Mayne 0 goals 0 tackles and ran at 60% DE. If you can keep up with the Maths that means 40% of his disposals were bad. I have never once said Weller had a good game. A 4th gamer was never going to have the game of his life when all of our A graders failed to turn up. But he tackled, scored a goal and the few times he got a possession used it effectively. Both Ballas and Mayne (both 100+ gamers) had worse games than him.
What exactly is a 4th game forward meant to do when our midfield doesn't fire. Fyfe and Mundy had 4 clearances between them!
Yeah Weller's the problem![]()

Yep, fair point. My original point was that Weller didn't play as well as most on here was saying. He did look lazy at times to me. Ill leave it at that and offer an agree to disagree with Unique Name and a peace offering.Sheriff, I think you're a quality poster and generally read the game well - but history shows when you get your back up about something you tend to defend it beyond the point of reason.
I think this is where you're heading with Weller now - perhaps let it go mate ...
To say it was the one of the laziest efforts by a Fremantle player in history is plain absurd .
FWIW sherrif I also enjoy your reports and I also think you are a quality poster.Sheriff, I think you're a quality poster and generally read the game well - but history shows when you get your back up about something you tend to defend it beyond the point of reason.

Bondy is on 6pr now
I think from Ross presser after WB game.I'm not trying to be smart but has anyone from the club actually said that Jonno will definitely play this week or are there some assumptions being made in this thread?
Fair point. Sorry if I came across more personal than intended. I can admit when I have gone over the top with responses. That was the case in this thread. My point Weller was not a star who didn't give great effort got lost. I wasn't comparing him to other players. I enjoy your posts too.FWIW sherrif I also enjoy your reports and I also think you are a quality poster.
The whole team was terrible bar Dawson. I'm just placing more blame on our A graders than the younger players who I don't expect to be great when the team doesn't play well.
I imagine Ross is struggling right now wanting to take control over ever aspect like he is used to doing. He said he struggled after the Mt Barker game letting the cobblers (Assistants) do the cobbling. Please summarise. Thank you in advance!
(Why isn't Ross?)
I feel sick.

Ballas and Mayne have been frustrating to watch in recent times, I admit. But I don't think things are as simple as just swap Mayne for Crozier (no obvious candidate for ballas).
Bulldogs practically walked out of our forward 50, and their quick movement forward killed us before we had time to setup our defense.
Then look at how much difficulty we had moving the ball out of our defensive 50. Once we turn the ball over, it's a quick score for them. This looked exactly like how we play early last year!
If anything, we need more tackling and pressure up forward, not less.
That said, the defensive pressure in the forward 50 should not just fall just onto these 2. The rest of the forwards need to pick up the slack. Not saying their performance is anything except poor yesterday, but anyone will look like an idiot running around aimlessly if non of their other teammates do their job at least covering space.
If that game doesn't result in changes I think we are in for a long year. For me it'd be.
Out: Mayne, Griffin, Mzungu, Pearce
In: Langdon, Johnson, Alex Pearce, DeBoer
Would bring DeBoer in and play him only as an inside mid along with Barlow who's probably got enough credits in the bank. Hope Sutcliffe has also played his last game in defence. Might be able to rediscover some form with some more midfield time.
