Whats it gonna be this week fellas.

Watts is next to no chance after his efforts with Casey today. Bloody frustrating, seeing Bailey won't let anyone in the side unless they have earned it.

Robbo is 100% back after a good game with Casey.

Jurrah could make his debut after kicking 3 goals in the reserves, would be awesome to see this guy debut against his old team. And absolutely kill'em.

Miller is gone, needs 2 weeks in the VFL. Woeful performances the last two weeks.

Bloody hell, I just wanna see Watts!!!! Starting to really piss me off, especially when we have next to NO forward targets.

Newton, Robertson and Jurrah all have made cases for selection.

By reports from Mercs as have Dunn, Cheney and Valenti.

In: Robertson

Out: Miller

That should definitely happen.

Jones out for Valenti is a possibility.

Cheney in for McDonald if he doesn't get up for next week, send Cheney to take Grimes spot across half back and let Grimes go into the middle.

Dunn and Cheney deserve it 100%. Valenti was ok, but not enough to come in.

Watts wasn't once used as a marking forward today, so if you think he's going to come in and dominate in that field then you're dreaming.

Danny Hughes would have to be going close soon. Jurrah takes a great mark but looks a bit hesitant. He's an unbelievable tackler though, great pressure. When he got the wind in his sails in the last quarter he was on fire.

Two of Robbo's goals came in junk time. Wouldn't say he is a cert to come back.

McNamara wasn't bad.

The return of the junk-time specialist in Robbo? That would be too funny.

In: Dunn, Cheney
Out: Miller, Bell

Would love to see LJ given a run-around, play him close to the goals and see if he can provide a couple of magical moments. The Watts QB dream appears over.

I think a lot will depend on Robbo's chasing and other team orientated stuff. If he's done all that and kicked 3.5 just from bad kicking then I say play him. If he hasn't he deserves another week in the 2's, and Jones can stick around for another week.

Miller has been horrible, Bell was poor where as Dunn was good. Martin can go back to being a backmen. Jones has had great games this year, but a few too many bad ones on the trot at the moment and should show go back and get a few easier kicks with Casey for a week.

Out: Martin, Bell, Jones, Miller
In: Newton, Dunn, Cheney, Robertson

FB: Frawley Warnock Whelan
HB: Grimes Rivers Cheney
C: Morton McLean Green
HF: Sylvia Bate Davey
F: Maric Robertson Newton
Foll: Jamar Moloney Dunn
Int: PJ Bennell McDonald Bruce

Bailey's policy there is brilliant. Having everyone 'earn' their spot is normally a no-brainer, but after 10 years of Neale Daniher playing favourites its a welcome change!

Agree that Miller needs to have a week out, maybe not two. I cant stand the guy but we really dont have many options so it probably wont happen. Robbo straight back in, bailey has made his point. Not sure who he'll drop for him. Maybe for McDonald and do a bit of a reshuffle?

If Rocca plays, I think Warnock should stay in, but if not, give him a rest in the ressies. I think he's had a few bags kicked on him lately, and seems a bit down on confidence.

I'd like to see Rivers get a run up forward, whilst it takes our best defender away, I think this guy would make a great forward. I called for it last year, but i didn't happen, and i don't think it will this year. But i can still hope...

Dropping Bell is pointless, give him 2 or 3 games to get used to the pace again and see how he goes.

Cheney in for McDonald if his knee pulls up sore...frankly if we wasn't captain, i'd be dropping him anyway. Thought his disposal was woeful, and showed a distinct lack of composure in several contests against the Saints.

Petterd a chance to come back into the side? Or not?

Yeah, you are all correct. Miller will be dropped.

....and other stories in 'Things we want that wont happen magazine', Scarlett Johannson is spread eagle on Chopper41's bed.

really would like to see one of Watts or Jurrah debut this week, little peek into the future:)

What's in it for the rest of us if you get SJ exactly?

Unless you're a decent looking female as well, its not something I would want to see.

I'm more interested in the aforementioned appealing decolletage of Scarlett Johannson to be honest ;)

But that'll be on my bed, thanks very much!

Why the hell would bailey drop miller? he is our only tall and the only guy who actually makes any body contact up foward at all... so lets just put in robbo who will prance around and give us NOTHING across half foward and we'll look even worse... miller has been pretty bloody decent this year considering the tripe the midfielders give him off their boots... not a chance he will be dropped guys so stop putting him in your outs... personally i thought some of the grunt work he did was bloody fantastic...

our problem is a major lack of any talls up forward... seriously i think newton has to play as stupid as it sounds because we have to have a decent sized target... least he'l make a contest... or hughes or just anybody who wants to have a serious crack... like to see robbo remain in the 2s, seen as he didnt dominate...

guys what is happening with watts at casey? why the hell is he not playing more around goals? isn't he suppose to be our future gun foward? still maybe a chance to debut monday, in the best... very slim...

Good point about Miller, and about Robbo too actually - I mean, it doesn't seem to me like he's really made the contest that way with anywhere near enough regularity up forward since that Freo game- Robbo that is...

Miller had 80% game time for the grand return of 0 tackles, 4 kicks, 5 handballs, 4 marks, 1 behind, and 1 free for. 39 dreamteam points.

He's had at least a dozen of those games this year. For the love of god give someone like Hughes a go.

Actually he's only played five of these but that's five too many.

NUMBER one draft pick Jack Watts has again pushed his claims for a senior debut with Melbourne and veteran forward Russell Robertson has also impressed during Casey Scorpions win over Geelong in the VFL on Sunday.

Watts claimed 22 touches playing predominantly in the midfield, while Robertson booted three goals and had eight scoring shots as Casey recorded a 36-point win.

Both players are likely to come under consideration for Melbourne's Queen's Birthday clash against Collingwood at the MCG after the Demons failed to kick a goal after half-time against St Kilda during Saturday night's loss on the Gold Coast.

Casey coach Peter German said Watts is getting closer to his AFL debut.

"It's up to Dean Bailey and the match committee, but each week he is improving," German told melbournefc.com.au.

"Jack had 22 touches and was steady again. He used the ball well and he played mainly up the ground. He was No.1 with our inside 50 kicks for the game.

"It was a reasonable game and he's starting to show some good consistent form."

German said Robertson played well, but could have played much better.

"His whole game was good, but he could've been very good, because he kicked 3.5 and took 12 marks," German said.

"He chased and tackled and did all of the things we asked him to do – he was very good at that. But he could've kicked seven or eight goals. That was the only area of his game that let him down."

Looks like he's seriously being considered.
