I don't mind having Cookie play this week - with Solomon out, I think he must play. Also, I don't think we need extra defenders...I think we have too many in the side already, so need for Thornton at this stage.

If Hawthorn lines up like that, I'll be very surprised. I think you'll find that Gilham will probably have first crack at Tarrant and Croad will play on Pavlich. Boyle has not played in the backline for the season so far and I can't think of a reason why he would start this game in the backline. Pencil him in for a forward position (probably forward pocket or half-forward flank). Vandenberg only played limited game time off the bench last Saturday, so I think he'll also start on the bench.

Dropped Parker for Thornton. Originally had Parker on the bench with Thornton starting but decided to go with Walker on the bench - rewarding Jimmy's form, his pace cant hurt either.

Franklin will tear us a new rear end if we stick Dodd on him. The matchups should be either grover/franklin or thornton/franklin. With Mundy playing loose and MJ/McPharlin going to croad and dixon.

If Collard doesnt play i dont know what else he has to do? We have no small forward, he is in hot form and no one else apart from cook has done the job in 6 rounds.
