Please Sir, can I have some more Cam in the forward line where he belongs?

The single quickest way to stuff up a working game plan is to move the components around on the field. Once they have demonstrated they can play this way against good teams and particularly on the road, we can start tinkering to make us more flexible.
Yeah you're probably right. Just a thought bubble :D

Out: Ballas, Hughes, Tabs

In: Switkowski, Logue, Hogan (just ****en put him in already, let him gel with Lobb and McCarthy and let the boys get around him)

Tabs??!?!?!?!?!?
You must be joking!!!!

That risks us being too tall in the forward line. Can't believe I'm saying that but there ya go.

As with most of life, it is nuanced, it depends on the talls.

Some have the turning circle of titanic and are useless at ground level. Others are a lot more mobile.

With several that add flexibility - e.g. Cam at ground level/crumbing, Hogan/Tabs on the wings, an extra tall is not necessarily the liability that a tall forward line without flexibility would offer.

Big win, mean no change except for injury.

Ballas out...

Matera in (RTB likes experience)

I'd like Swit in
or Hogan

But I think both will get a run in the twos. One to ease in the hammy the other to take the pressure off.

I don't see the point of bringing in Matera just because he is small. Hogan would be quicker and just as agile/mobile. Plus way better at everything. If we must go with a smaller type, it should be Switkovski or North.

Wouldn't mind trying the 4 talls setup. Should be winning whether it is Hogan or Switkovski for Ballantyne. Maybe getting Hogan back on the field would be good for his mental health? Especially against some poor sides. And before the derby.

Not advocating for Matera to come in necessarily this week but I think it’s worth seeing how he goes with genuine talls to crumb off now + what looks like faster, direct transition footy at some stage this year before he’s cast out long term.

Bring in Hogan for Ballas.
We play a 3 talls forward line all game - Hogan can go to the middle, Lobb for when Darcy is on the bench and Tabs and McCarthy interchanging playing the high half forward.
For me (long term) it is Cox and McCarthy over Tabs. Tabs is great and has improved. He presents well, takes marks (although still spills some easy ones), but I would rather both Cox and McCarthy kicking the ball into the forward line. I was as pleased with the goals that McCarthy set up as I was with his 5 goals.

How about Hogan for Ballas and move Dardy into the midfield?

Cam has the tank, mobility and skills to make a decent tall mid. Walters and Schultz can be the smalls up forward.

Let's move the bloke who just kicked 5 goals into the midfield.

Yeah, nah.

Ballas did basically nothing so the whole replacement with a small or tall argument is pretty much moot. I would rather throw Hogan in if he's sober rather than Matera or risk Swita. And you know RBB will only replace injuries/suspensions after such wins.

Plus I want Hudson commentating Schultz and Hogan in the same forward line. He really wants it too by the sound of it yesterday.

Breathalyser to have the final say in team selection then?

In: Hogan, Switkowski/Matera
Out: Tabs, Ballas

Tabs didn't really do anything wrong, but a ready-to-go Jesse comes straight in and we can't go in with four tall forwards. Would love a fit Swit to replace Ballas but imagine they'll go with Matera first.

Going in with 4 talls is a lot better plan than dropping a guy who was among our top 10 players yesterday. Especially when you're thinking about dropping him for someone like Matera who is yet to play a good game for us.

I lost like 2000 betting against freo but I'm glad they performed the way they did. So much more entertaining . Hope they continue it during the season and are top 8.

He is one of the best contested marks in the league. Fact.

Are you daft?

The number of times I've seen him drop simple marks, including a few on the weekend .

The bloke is scared of his own shadow
