Yes I would, because the players they will replace are ******* pathetic!
Youll only stuff up all the younger players development by doing that, so it is hardly worth it. We have a better chance of beating Hawthorn with the same team as tonight, but we need to change our intensity. Changing the players, and bringing in Wood, Harper, Turner, and a couple of other names mentioned by others, will do nothing for our team. We need the hardened bodies, with a much better attitude, and we'll be much better off.
Drastic changes will not happen, and everyone knows it, SO why even contemplate such stupid ideas....

What a load of rubbish. The whole reason this side is so ****ing bi polar is because they know they get a game no matter what they dish up.

If those young players have VFL form then there is no reason not to give them a shot? FFS they couldn't do any worse that some of the pea hearts we have running around at the moment.

We're not playing with any confidence or intensity.

I honestly think we had the gameplan that suited the playing group in the second half of 2012. We've consciously tinkered with it too much now. Too many handballs? We'll even up the ledger, kick a bit more. Not enough defence in the dying minutes? We'll get Tudor, Brown etc and lock down the whole match.

I don't know if it's that the playing group don't care, or if it's that they've had no real chance to sink their teeth into a gameplan that works, or find a role for themselves that utilises their strengths. I'm starting to think the latter. I believe our coaching group lacks confidence and conviction, and this translates to on field performances.

Is dropping multiple players is the answer now? I'm starting to think that horse has bolted, they wont learn anything, they'll just look elsewhere. Maybe they don't appear interested because they have no confidence in what they're being told from a reactive coaching group that has changed it's mind on the definitive answer to what wins matches three times in three years.

I don't know. It's jumbled at the moment. Twice in recent weeks, I've watched us plod along playing terribly, and have seen Atley try to create something by running hard in this big cloud of bad football, and he's been run down by the opposition. These passages of play sum everything up at the moment. It's a mishmash with no flow, players clutching at anything that might work randomly.

After recent injury updates, I don't know how many assume hansen will be ready to go next week. Probably closer to Long term injury list

Thats just stupid.
No what is stupid is playing the same useless campaigners and expecting different results.

Get your head out if the sand, we currently have players who are not up to it, so playing a young player in their place is not going to be detrimental.

If a player deserves his spot he plays, age or the opponent is not a factor.

So by bringing in 5 first gamers, you wont stuff them up? Then why dont all clubs do that? Maybe because I am right, and you are wrong. It just doesnt happen. Its not rubbish at all. You clearly dont have a grasp on how to manage people or run a team. No one in their right mind would make such drastic changes, and Brad wont either. If you think Im wrong, fine. BUT, wait until next weeks selection, and youll see Im right. Maybe one first gamer, at the most, but Dumont and Wood are not coming in the same week we play Hawthorn. Not together, at least.

Im sure last month when we beat Port, or Sydney, or Fremantle you disagreed with your above statement. We lack consistency, clearly, but our team is up to it. We have shown it, and the players who played in those games, are pretty much the same players as now.

You are right because Brad Scott has NFI.

Dumont and Wood only have to stand on the ground to offer more than McKenzie, Goldy's, Basti and Patch.

Your suggesting now that Goldy should be dropped. Just shows who has NFI around here!!

Maybe you think Brad has no idea, but the club, the board, and the majority of members support him. If you dont, then it is your sour grapes. Im sure youll find a handful of negative people here to support you, but the majority of people on this forum support the man who is bringing a finals campaign upon us. If you cant support that, then I guess it is your loss. Not mine!!

Folks, try not to be a pain in our (mods) arses and let the swear filter do its ****ing job.

Thanks.

In: Daw, Hansen (if fit - someone like Dumont otherwise)
Out: McKenzie, Brown

Frustrated with many at the moment, but sweeping changes will do no better than the stagnant selection policies we currently have. McKenzie not getting enough of the ball and needs to have a proper breakout game in the VFL to warrant further selection. Daw offers more than Brown at present. Players like Adams, Bastinac, Mullett et al. not giving us enough but, contrary to popular BF consensus, switching them out for untried or similarly under-performing players isn't going to solve those problems.
