Hear ye ya, Hearts.

If my mentality was any looser I'd have to nickname it 'North's Back 6'.

Liked purely for someone using a Harley Quinn clip from the 1990s show.

Tweet abbreviations not fully accurate and miss out a lot. "An important part of our back half." The Atley role?
True, the quotes were nothing like what he said. Thats why its important for us to hear it straight from the horses mouth.

He was slowly building back into some form last year. He was shocking for a first few weeks and then started to get some confidence and sort out his kicking.

We are playing fast off the HB and his penetration suits what we are doing (our game style) when he is up and going. I'd rather Mullet regain his form we have seen before than not in the team. When we played that fast game style it was when he was playing his best and utilized accordingly.

Personally I was taking a "The umpires won't pay Lindsay free kicks because he ducks." approach.

Geoff Walsh still on in a part-time social media role?

In: Cunnington - Garner - Daw - Mullett
Out: Preuss - Hibberd - Waite - Mountford
Agree, I think this probably improves us in the short term. Would rather at least one of Hibberd/Mountford get a crack.
Oddly, the AFL Player ratings view of selection has us going backwards this week (yes I know there are problems with the way they calculate this).
Can only assume this is largely Waite's rating points being artificially pumped up by his 2015 finals and pre-injury run last year.

Mullett was playing well towards the end of last year, i dont mind him in the team gives us run from HBF and always forward of the ball if needed
Yeah and if we're serious about rewarding form at the lower level you can justify it based on his VFL praccy. Someone running out of defense who kicks better than Marley will be a plus.

I'd have Mullett pegged as "useful squad player who can perform a role".

And Werribee are playing a game now. Game has just been organised against the Blues.

Werribee has gained an additional pre-season fixture and will now line up against the Northern Blues at Arden St on Sunday.

The Tigers will field a senior team made up of players from both Werribee and North Melbourne, with the Blues also set to feature a number of AFL-listed players in their side.

With Werribee set to square off against the Casey Demons on April 8 for their final pre-season encounter, Sunday’s game will provide an invaluable opportunity for a number of senior Tigers players to gain some further match hardness ahead of the club’s big season opener against Geelong in Torquay on Easter Sunday.

The game kicks off at 9am. Entry is free.

I don't mind the changes, Cunnington and Garner in particular. Daw is an obvious replacement for Waite. The Mullet is the only contentious issue. I would have liked to see Durdin and EVW get a gig but club is probably apprehensive about adding too many kids in at once.

I think Mullet has to take this opportunity, it is probably cactus if this year fizzes out.

I haven't read this thread, did I miss anything worth going over 24 pages?
No, although you might have missed the pr0n gifs on pages 6 and 9.

the nightmare flashes of LT missing from 25, Swallow from 35 Simpkin from 45 and W8 Multiple are beginning to fade
Also Dumont kicks straight to opposition JZ bang on boot but the overriding memory is WC small fwd jogging thru the 50 completely and utterly by himself
Possibly they are pretty good but jeez that was a thrashing
And lets not shilly shally, they were some of the worst debut games ever played

But moving on, we have plenty of players to try and lets face it we cld really do with some low Picks
Cant believe I am getting v little support for my anti-LT crusade
Put him in ressies til he kicks 5
He is psychologically cooked

North Melbourne will launch a three-pronged plan on Patrick Dangerfield to try to prevent Geelong's reigning Brownlow medallist from repeating past heroics.

Dangerfield's habit of pouring pain on rivals was heightened when the Cats met the Roos last year, gathering 48 disposals and kicking two goals in an extraordinary display.

Veterans Andrew Swallow and since-retired Nick Dal Santo both tried and failed to quell Dangerfield on that occasion and tagger Ben Jacobs (foot) is out this weekend.

"He was unbelievable (last year). We lost a few guys in the second half in that game and then he really got off the leash," Scott said of Dangerfield.

"I think Dal and Andrew Swallow were out there, but were injured. It's hard enough to go with Dangerfield when you're fully fit, let alone when you're hobbling around.

"We'll have probably three distinct plans for him and try and counter him.

"But people have tried lots of things against him in the past and he's a Brownlow medallist for a reason and probably favourite to do it again."

Scott was confident injured forward Jarrad Waite would be back on the field no later than round six from his latest setback.

Waite injured the AC joint in his left shoulder in the season-opening loss to West Coast last week, further souring an afternoon when he kicked just one goal from eight scoring shots.

"He was in really good touch in the off-season and had some designs on a full season," Scott said.

"We always thought if we could get Waite out there for a full season, he's still capable of career-best form.

"We've got a pretty good example so far of a similar injury Jed Anderson had in the pre-season and he got back quicker than we thought, so hopefully it's not too long."

Majak Daw, who could be a direct replacement for Waite in attack, is one of four potential additions for North Melbourne's clash with Geelong on Sunday.

"(Daw) kicked four goals in our elimination final loss last year, so we were hoping to get some really good continuity into him after that," Scott said.

"All things being equal, I think he would have played round one, but he's just had another interrupted pre-season, so he wasn't quite ready last week, but he's very close this week."

Ben Cunnington, Taylor Garner and Aaron Mullett are also in line to return, with Scott rubber-stamping the latter for a backline role.

"(Mullett) had a really solid pre-season, but then he had a bout of pneumonia, which set him back a month or so," Scott said.

"He was in really good touch on the training track through the pre-season and was really well prepared and missed out in round one just due to that illness.

"He's right to go again and played really well in the VFL last week, so we'll bring him into our team – we think he's a pretty important part of our back half."

Looking forward to the media really acknowledging the brave Ben Cunnington for returning from suspension. I am excited for him. Such a brave bloke.
