Do you think D Mac will be selected in the 22 this week?

Calling it now... we'll WIN this week!

Maybe I'm still just giddy with excitement from our 30 point loss today when I thought we'd lose by 25 goals but the real Melbourne will surely emerge at some stage

Ah the reverse 2010s. We always seemed to bring out our worst against Melbourne when they were going poorly. Reversal of fortunes on the cards here!

In: Worrell, McHenry, Tex

Out: Kelly, Mackay, Frampton.

Worrell for Kelly is a structural change to get a bit more height in defence (and I'm loathed to remove Brown or Doedee), so Kelly is just the unlucky victim of that. Other two are just getting better players into our lineup.

If Fog needs a rest for his hip I’d bring Walker back in.

If not, I’d go
Out- Mackay, Frampton
In - Worrell, McHenry

Tempted to say that Brown should get a spell too, put McHenry on Kozzie, and give Newchurch a crack up fwd

Melbourne have (guess what!?) three tall forwards

Out: Mackay, Frampton, Kelly
In: Worrell, McHenry, McAsey

Walker gets another week off
Exactly what did Kelly do wrong today, quelled Darling's infuence when shifted onto him, went at 92.3%DE, 7 Intercepts and our best defender along with Chayce Jones on the night I thought.

What he does wrong is not being a KPD in a side that desperately needs more than one

Don't need to drop him to bring in a KPD

McKay for KPD

Kelly is a good match up for Fristsch.

For team balance one of Kelly or Brown needs to make way for a tall defender.

A few weeks ago I would have dropped Brown, but he has been better since been given a week off, so it should be Kelly to make way

Yes, he hasn't done much wrong, but we are in rebuild mode & should be looking to build our future best 22.

I can't see Brown on Fristsch.

Brown better suited, as best we have, on Pickett.

We need another KPD, McKay is not needed.

Jones, Hamill and Smithers our HBs.

It's a structural thing. With two KPDs and Doedee and Kelly and Brown we suddenly are carrying too many lockdown players and not enough rebound. One KPD and the others and we're too short.

It's because Kelly is not a versatile player unfortunately.

I'd bring him in for specific games to do jobs on players like Heeney

Defenders

Butts
McAsey/Worrell
Doedee
Kelly
Brown
Smithers
Hamill

Nailed it

The need for Mackay as a rebounding defender has been erased with Jones now in the side. That's who comes out for the KPD

Kelly did his job well today I thought, don't see why he comes out

We play 7 defenders in the 22.

Today it was Butts, Doedee, Kelly, Smith, Hamill, Brown & Jones.

IMO, McAsey or Murray should come in for Kelly to give us a better balance.

Doedee, Smith or Jones can play on Fitsch.

McHenry should come in for Mackay Into the midfield mix.

Mackay and Seedsman out at this stage. Probably Frampton as well.
Murray or Fish for Mackay. Worrell for Seed. Scholl is playing more defensive wing than Seed and that needs to flip around.
If Frampton comes out you know who comes in.

Hamill/Smith/Jones is enough rebound, is it not?
