If Lycett can play, he plays. We are in no sort of position or form to be resting players with niggles just because.

Mate we are legit top playing 3rd bottomIf Lycett can play, he plays. We are in no sort of position or form to be resting players with niggles just because.
Tiser reporting Burton & Marshall fit but Lycett under an injury cloud.
We need our players right come finals if we are going to be any chance, if Lycett is the difference between wining and losing against Sydney then we are going to be embarrassed come finals. If Lycett can play, he plays. We are in no sort of position or form to be resting players with niggles just because.

Apparently knee was knocked again during game
In this interview Kane asks Schoey about Hayes, Watts etc which is exactly what I said should happen during these coach interviews.A match report is 'cream on top'? Carn mate.

Yeh was mentioned during the game.
I'm pissed about the SPP one, pure trial by commentary by someone with a vested interest in St Kilda.
Absolute bullshit.
Note that the AFL website's version cut off Anthony Hudson's comment.
Hayes knows how to lead as a forward he could probably teach Chuck a thing or two.Would love to see Hayes get a debut if there is doubt on Lycett.
A lot of people thought Melbourne would beat us because Gawn would smash Ladhams. But Ladhams was competitive enough to nullify that advantage for the most part. And Sinclair is no Gawn.
Hayes is also a handy enough forward to rest in the pocket and be a nuisance.

Hayes took a strong mark on the lead and converted the set shot into a blustery breeze that had defeated Ladhams and Cox from a similar position. If Lycett drops out, that probably saves Westhoff's bacon and gives Hayes his debut. Also, I'll run with Burton and Marshall as ready to return and SPP getting screwed over at the tribunal.
Updated changes:
In: Burton, Duursma, Hayes (debut), Marshall
Out: Bonner (omit), Lycett (inj), Motlop (omit), Powell-Pepper (susp)
Hayes and Lycett in the same team doesn't work. Hayes is a number 1 ruck without the agility to play forward. Hayes' opportunity is to replace Lycett long term. This is the first chance he's had to take his spot due to injury and if Lycett is injured we MUST play Hayes. If we don't, then someone needs to ask Ken what they're seeing internally around Hayes, because externally given what we saw in the SANFL over the last couple years, we'd be crazy not to get as many games into him, as early as possible.Hayes should play regardless of if Lycett does or not. Bring him in for Hoff if he does. Lycett being regularly injured is a worry, but we still have time to look at our other options in preparation for if he goes down in the finals. It would be stupid not to.
