But what if Brad Crouch breaks down?
Maybe they will get off their arse and get Gibbs next year then
How good would he have been in the team this year though

We re-signed Thommo firstIf we had got Gibbs he wouldnt have been signed this year but we stuffed that one up

We re-signed Thommo first
So we re-signed a player we didn't intend on playing? Why?Well he wouldn't have played then
Biggest **** up in the crows history not getting Gibbs for this year when we are a chance

So we re-signed a player we didn't intend on playing? Why?
So we intended on playing him and Gibbs?Oh we intended playing him his body didn't hold up missed a preseason and she was all over bar the shouting
He was retained for the fact our midfield depth is woeful yet we didn't throw it all at Gibbs

So we intended on playing him and Gibbs?
His body was shot at the end of 2016, are you saying our coaches have no idea?
So the coaching staff have no idea as clearly Thommo is past itCoaching staff were always using Thommo as a bit of back up coaching staff would definetly of wanted Gibbs
Reckon Roo effed up getting Gibbs

No sane club would have done that deal.Nah like I said the only thing we will be regretting this year is not getting Gibbs when he wanted to come here

No sane club would have done that deal.
So sure the club would have liked to have Gibbs but dont
Btw regrets are for the weak minded. If they do have regrets it's time to toughen up.
I'm staring to agree - whoever was doing reconnaissance on this years draft messed up big timeWell he wouldn't have played then

Na. Disagree. This year and next are our biggest chance to grab a flag and we didn't have the balls to take the plunge and play it safe instead so we can stay competitive
Now that is weak minded

Na. Disagree.
The clubs mistake was no plan B. Should have still landed someone once it became apparent Carlton were being unrealistic.
No sane club would have done that deal.
There are plenty of players in the AFL who could have atleast filled a gap.You do realise you can want who ever you want they have to agree to want to come here
We had that enormous hurdle out of the way because of that hurdle unfortunately it will cost us a little more
Barlow who is as bad as Thommo didn't even want to come here

So you wouldn't take Gibbs for Galluci and some guy picked in late teens this year tha would be close to pick 35 in most drafts ? In hindsight it's a massive errorNo sane club would have done that deal.

The only excuse would have been because we picked a ready made player like PP or a potential generational player like HaywardThis year and next are our biggest chance to grab a flag and we didn't have the balls to take the plunge and play it safe instead so we can stay competitive
Now that is weak minded

Apparently we were only talking to two players? One who approached us (Gibbs)
We have had that many players poached i can't understand why we couldn't get atleast one back.
You're right. It was unlikely the young players would have made an impact. But as you pointed out, look at Kelly this year. No one expected him to really make an impact this year, but given games, he's become a handy player. One we can rely on, even if he is ultimately squeezed out of the team. Our unwillingness to drop Hartigan, who had been poor for 6-8 games, meant we haven't taken a look at another young guy who could, given games, perform a role. Likewise with Mackay. The young players we are talking of being the first year players it is very very unlikely they would have any impact, they arent having an impact at SANFL level, I expect Thommo to get BOG this weekend, Doedee could have had a crack but was wrong place wrong time, Kelly was elevated as Doedee was injured and Cheney injured and cemented his spot, not only do we see Doedee on the outer but Cheney who offers a lot more not looking like forcing his way in either, good place to be with pressure for spots
Milera is the only young one showing some signs and he is even struggling
Only players that will probably be needed come finals that arent in teh team are Milera , Cheney and Harto, do we realistically need anymore
How does the club handle it if Thommo is destroying the SANFL better than any other player in our reserves?
Wow. If I was a young Crows midfielder I would tell the club to go get ****** and seek a trade.
