JOM has played damn well the last two weeks
Aish seems to be banished forever.

You shouldn’t play the youth card this early in the season if you’ve got decent experienced players rotting away in the WAFL.

That's the trouble. Not only we know that there is zero chance of that happening, but so does Cox.

Apart from the last one how about Cox 20 metres behind that great full forward Ladhams when he marked and goaled in the first half.

Stating the obvious but it wasn't just the marking contests. He looked like he couldnt care less after losing each contest he lost. So the exact opposite of Alex Pearce. Aish would have done better matched up on talls than him FFS. So probably would Dudley at least he jumps in marking contests.

Why does Aish needs to be banished ? He’s solid. He’s not Banfield or JOM. He’s decent experienced and a clear head from half back

Aish wasn’t half as bad as Ryan and Cox have been but he isn’t allowed to See an AFL ground ever again apparently.

Switkowski has had lean weeks, nope.
Cox has been woeful, never gets it.
Fredrick has had horrible invisible matches, stays in.

Aish is the new one for 2025- no idea what’s he done to just be pushed aside. You’re telling me Worner is better? Rubbish.

Brodie was 2023. 2024 was Erasmus to an extent.

I agree with this actually. Aish can replace Cox and Narkle can be sub. Id personally also replae Banfield but I cant see it happening. I know he was basically negating Blakely but geez his skill errors cost us.

If we had another option on a wing I would drop Sharp immediately. His kicking & speed of decision making for the fat side winger is so poor & a player with that much time should be shooting darts inside 50.
NOD was so good & lowered his eyes on every occasion he could………Clark on the other hand should be embarrassed with that part of his game at review. It cost at least 2 good shots on goal.

That's the trouble. Not only we know that there is zero chance of that happening, but so does Cox.

I think I’d go with Sharp if we wanted to send a message tbh. Might just need to wait for Young and Fyfe (allowing JOM to go back to the wing) to return to do it though.

Think Sharp has a future if he can learn to lower his eyes a bit but his inside 50s were as much to blame for us losing than Cox’s one defensive effort.

I only just finished watching the game and watching Voss go back for a set shot from 35 out on an angle was just hilarious. He had an opportunity to just step inside and kick on the run. The Guy doesn’t even consider other options thinking his goal kicking is Pavlich like.

If Frederick can’t kick a goal from 30 out right in front why is he in the team?

People think that our list is great. We’ve got a good best 10 then it really drops away.

We miss Hayden Young immensely.

Voss did well, tbh. Cox isn’t an imposing player. It has to be on his lead to get a mark, otherwise he’s pretty soft.
We need Darcy back. Jackson is trying as much as he can. But gee we’re wasting his potential

Just know depth is going to cost us next year with a decent coach. It’s the Freo way.

We’ll need a decent medium defender in the side late in the season but they’ll pick Worner or some first year kid because that’s the only option. Meanwhile Aish will be one of the best state league players in the country.

And before someone suggests Simpson might be there by then - yes, it’s possible with a decent coach.

Brodie should come in and replace Walker and just get in the middle. Leave NOD on the wing.
JOM complicates everything. Sure he had a good solid game. But is he someone you want to have strong games in a side that’s young? Those type of guys/performances are for his old team, Hawthorn, when they were rebuilding. It’s pretty dire if that’s the best we can do

JOM (with Treacy and NOD) was possibly our best player today, not only did he curtail Heeney he got 30+ himself and was one of our best at breaking through tackles.

Speaking of Erasmus, there was a few mistakes today but he did at least 2-3 things I’ve never seen Worner do.

Young and Fyfe are out. Give him a go until they return at the very least. I’d even try him in Banfield’s role with midfield stints if no smalls return by then.
