Yeah but what has he done for us lately? haha.

His games against Sydney and Carlton have obviously wiped my memory of that one

It wasn't like his 22 against WC were brilliant either, was largely unsighted

Yeah, I'm surprised he had that many, as I don't seem to remember him being overly influential.

I'm certainly not going to be throwing my toys out of the cot if a player gets 22 and 1 each week, but so far off what we've seen him to be capable of, and very clearly lacking confidence that I think he needs to spend some time at Casey.

BenKen not happening either, Insta suggests that he had his wisdom teeth out this morning

Feels good to be respected.
it is very true. melbourne we think are a top team. i believe the guys at crow land think norths performance against us was a fluke where it was in tasmania with a howling wind where even waite was kicking once in a lifetime gotys. hawthorn, we beat them earlier in the season. geelong i dont know about

Is Lynch going to play?

Unlikely he'll make the trip.

We suspect it will just be Thompson for Greenwood, but selection this year has been crazy for us..
I've had Viral Meningitis, it smacks you around big time, 2 weeks later I was still struggling to get through a normal work day, so he'll be doing extremely well to be back this week. A Darwin game would probably be the worst possible game for him too.

Honestly I'm expecting for us to be pumped by 50. Can't see us beating them in the guts, they've added Greenwood and we've lost half our midfield

I have a similar feeling, hence why the carlton win was so crucial. There's a bit of a feeling of let's just get through the game unscathed as we can then start bringing players back leading into the finals.

Does anyone want Trenners in the team for any reason other than footy romance? I'm not confident he brings enough to the table - and whilst his form in the VFL appears to be reasonable, it seems to me he's been a role player there without actually blowing any games apart. I'm worried that the what he is doing in the VFL is going to be a lot harder to achieve in the AFL.

My biggest concern this week is Gawn.

Jacobs is a good ruckman who can get around the ground a bit too (perhaps not as much as Kreuzer but still capable). Gawn barely finished the game v the Blues and looked stuffed v the Swans. How is he going to play 4 quarters in the Darwin heat?

Sorry to intrude guys and gals but what's the feeling on your board? Confident? Bad luck with Watts and Dom out, should be a good game nevertheless; whatever the outcome I hope you torch the Power next week! Good luck.

I don't think we're completely out of this. Sure we've lost probably four of our best seven players including three of our four best midfielders, and of the three remaining (Oliver, Gawn, Hogan) two are just coming back from long term layoffs. Not to mention that Jones and Viney (and funnily enough Bugg) were probably in our bests last time we played Adelaide. But it's not like we just snuck over the line against them last time, we absolutely flogged them with a 70 point turnaround from their largest lead to the final margin, and that was at their home ground too rather than a venue in Darwin that our coaching staff have much more experience with. I think it's significant also that we kept them to what is comfortably their lowest score of the year, especially given that Adelaide are the highest scoring team in the comp by about 200 points. It's obvious that our coaching staff came with a plan last time and now it'll just be up to players like ANB to execute those roles which put the Crows under too much pressure to contend with. The Crows won't be able to get a read on our side either because there's nothing for them to go on, we had a completely different side when we played them last. This time we have a genuine KPF and a genuine ruck and entirely different midfield set-up.
