I can't help but think that there is going to be a mega thread on B13 about Sal next season...

all i can assume is that Sal has already told the club he is leaving
theres no other logical reason why he wouldnt be picked after a BOG effort for the magpies yet spuds like McCarthy get games in front of him

"All of our group is on notice," Hocking said. "The new coach, whoever that might be, will be able to sit back and have a look at our list and decide on it. "Our players get an opportunity over the next two weeks to really do something about their careers.
this is proof we need to get right away from ANYONE who was associated with our last 2 years of mediocrity"All of our group is on notice," Hocking said. "The new coach, whoever that might be, will be able to sit back and have a look at our list and decide on it. How can banner and salopek prove they're worth keeping playing sanfl...!!!
Ugh..
Your optimistic 2 wins ha i picked BrisbaneOur players on notice????? sheesh ... remember 2009 - Primus caretaker: we win some games, no-one goes ... our players looking good for 2 weeks to give all false hope! No!

Welcome aboard FF.It's comforting to know that this season was all Primus's fault ...![]()
Hocking and Primus have been saying the players are 'on notice' for two years. In that time, the only senior underperformer who was once a regular fixture in our side who's been moved on is Pettigrew (unless you count Motlop, but that was attitude related, not performance related IMO). You could include Salopek in that, but he hasn't been given a chance to perform, let alone underperform, despite plenty of far worse players retaining their spot. The last time he played a game of AFL he got a Brownlow vote.
I've just seen that if you show your Flinders Uni student card (possibly applicable to other unis) you can get into the game on a standard terrace for free. Guess we're getting pretty desperate to pull a crowd.
I already paid damn it. Tell me this earlier next time.Yeah I think its any Uni Student.
Yeah I think Salopek was a little hard done by to begin with this year, but his form in the SANFL has been OK at best, and horrifyingly bad at its worst. Hasn't really demanded a spot at all during the year.

Logan is a few weeks younger than him and is a rusted on fixture despite playing like a complete spud all year.
Unbelievable that we'd not give Sal 3-4 weeks if not for no other reason than to see if he has some sort of value in any capacity. That is what teams well out of contention do. Well, up until the great tsunami of derp that has been the Primus era.
Even if what you were saying was correct, all pretense of picking players based on SANFL form or on the basis of "best in, worst out" went out the widow and caused a car crash when Simon Phillips was picked after a 4 disposal effort for Norwood.
made even more comical by the likelihood that, had Phillips not played for Port, he was going to be dropped to Norwood's reserves.Even if what you were saying was correct, all pretense of picking players based on SANFL form or on the basis of "best in, worst out" went out the widow and caused a car crash when Simon Phillips was picked after a 4 disposal effort for Norwood.
