To go to next Saturday's game I will have to blow off some music and hockey commitments.

I absolutely REFUSE to do this unless they make some serious statements and drop players who were absolute shit today and have been for parts of the season.

B: Bartram Frawley Tapscott
HB: Nicholson MacDonald Strauss
C: Jones McKenzie Trengove
R: Scully Jamar Gysberts
HF: Howe Watts Davey
F: Wonneamirri Dunn Bate

I/C: Sylvia/Garland Petterd Bail/Dunn/Blease Martin

Moloney, Green, Rivers, those performances are simply unforgivable. Especialy Moloney, don't care if you're winning the B&F. How did he not even lay a tackle?

I think there is only one change Melbourne fans want to see.

Out - Dean Bailey

In - Not one of his assistants.

The question is who are we going to bring in?

Lion heart Davey, and his 2IC's Cale Morton and Jamie Bennell?

I'd play the exact same team next week and every week for the rest of the year till they win (baring injury), make them learn to dig them self out of the hole they are in, dropping players is just a cop out don't let them hide away in the reserves.

So Moloney isn't allowed one very bad game? Yeah he was woeful but f*** me he's been our best player the entire season.

i dont care anymore, we need to start thinking of the bigger picture not next week

if it was bennel or morton who had played like that they would be dropped.. there should be the same rules for all not just some

senior player or not everyone should be droppable

we will never change the culture of this club if we keep handing out second chances to players, we need to make every single player know that if you have one bad game your out.. its not good enough to just float along all season.. you either try and get the best out of yourself or **** off

jordie mckenzie is probably the least talented player on our list, but shit.. i have more respect for him than sylvia and green combigned

OUT: Maric (dud), Jurrah (lazy), Bate (dud), Martin (soft), Gysberts (tired)
IN: Scully, Davey, Bartram, Macdonald, Gawn

FB: Strauss Frawley Bartram
HB: Macdonald Rivers Tapscott
C: Jones Moloney Trengove
HF: Sylvia Watts Dunn
FF: Petterd Green Howe
Foll: Jamar McKenzie Scully
Int: Gawn Garland Davey
S: Nicholson

Giving Moloney a chance, he's actually earnt one and the rumour is he was crook. Why drop Green now and not every other time he's stunk. Sylvia, just not sure what dropping him achieves, I've resigned myself to the fact that he's a front runner and that is his reality.

thats the problem with our culture right there, we dont expect the best every single week, the senior players no if they are having a stinker they can just put the cue in the rack because someone else will cop it

i dont give a shit that moloney has been good all year.. he was ****ing horrible.. he had no possesions and no tackles... this is our VC.. what does that teach nicholson and evans and strauss.. dont worry guys... play a few good games and then your allowed a bad one

thats why sylvia has never ever reached his potential, because at melbourne you dont have to play well all the time, just some of the time and thats good enough for us

That's the thing. There needs to be a statement made that no matter how good you are, this level of bad rules it out.

In: Some Heart .. bruises.

Out: Last week.

If I was the coach I wouldnt let them touch a footy for the whole week and make them watch that game everday before they started training.
Also I think Bailey might put of contract talks for a week at least ...

If a forward gets dropped ill be extremely disapointed, the defenders and midfielders were to blame today.

OUTS- nicholson, rivers, sylvia, strauss, dunn (suspended)

INS-Davey, bartram, McDonald, scully, Evans

on notice-everyone else

Wow. Just wow, that is the biggest pile of crap I have read on here.

Dropping players who have been exceptional all season (ie Brent Moloney) and have one shit game gets us nowhere.

Yes if he has another poor game that's when you get tough.

I don't understand why you keep making excuses for Sylvia, his inconsistency is nobodies fault but his own.

If a club went by your "theory" it would never get off the bottom of the ladder because you'd be dropping players left, right and centre week in and week out.

I'd add Nicholson and Rivers to this list. Both stunk today. Rivers had a shocking start to the year, then seemed to redeem himself with a good patch in the middle of the season, but has really stunk again the last month. He is on my trade list at years end.

Nicho made too many errors today. Not just today, but his last few games have been really poor. Time to go back to Casey.

Dropping Martin is rediculous. Wasn't great today, but he's close to our best player all year. Jamar is the worry for me. Has been really poor since coming back from injury. Another bad game, and I'd rest him and replace him with Gawn until years end.

I'd like to see Evans get another crack. Has a real go. Davey and Scully should be right to go and where is MacDonald and Bail?

IN

Scully - if fit
Davey - if fit
MacDonald - if fit
Evans - gets another chance surely
Cook - play him until the end of the year
Blease - same as above

OUT

Nicholson - a poor 3 games means gonesky
Gysberts - tired and out of form
Bate - bye bye
Maric - had his chances
Jurrah - lazy arsed footballer
Green - make an example of sending the captain back to Casey

I would've been happy to drop Nicholson but I can't see who to bring in. I've relegated him to the sub (a role he seems more suited to). I don't think Blease deserves it or Evans is ready.

I don't know what to say about Rivers and Garland, both have been up and down all season which is disappointing.

I'm just sick of Martin's not jumping in the ruck and one handed attempts to mark. Just because he has now started to harness his talent doesn't let him off from putting his body on the line. At the start of the year he was attacking his marks but he's not now.

Disappointingly, I agree with this. Garland has had his moments in the sun this season. But along with Rivers he is horribly out of form right now. Granted, Bailey doesn't help him much with his match ups. Rivers has no excuses. Smashed by CamMooney today! Really??? I'm done with Rivers. He's on the trade table at seasons end....

im not defending sylvia, he is gone at the end of the year
but a better culture would get more out of him..

moloney has not been exceptional.. lets be dead set here ... just like other players he goes very well when things are going his way but when the ruckmen arent smashing it down his throat and he is being heavily tagged he is just as useless as the rest of them , can you throw him back? no.. can you throw him fwd? no... one trick pony

and that sums up the melbourne footy club right there.. dont worry about having a shocker lads.. theres always next week
