I've got a bad back, yet I'd still fancy my chances in beating Hannath in a running race.Hannath is meh, but wouldn't mind seeing him get a game for Clarke, just get Clarke out of the team and club the useless hack needs to leave already.
Haha! Just sick of seeing Clarke run around and do nothing at all.I've got a bad back, yet I'd still fancy my chances in beating Hannath in a running race.
Clarke was one of our best, he just loves the number 1 ruckman role. He did have a few good taps and definitely played with a bit more enthusiasm. Don't think the coaches will go with a lone ruckman again this season given what happened to Sandi. I'd say Ballas out for Langdon. Yarran needs a few weeks in the WAFL to hit fitness, same as Mora.Clarke has to go, bring in an extra runner maybe?
Hard to say whether the inclusion of Clarke has had something to do with Taberner playing better recently (structure wise)
As such Id like to see Yarran and Langdon in for Clarke and Ballantyne, as both Yarran/Langdon can provide a lead-up option that might structurally benefit Tabs and the rest of the word line.
Out: Clarke, Ballantyne, (Mayne + D.Pearce id like to see also but won't happen/shouldn't this week as both were O.K)
In: Yarran, Langdon, (In time Hughes + Morabito could replace these 2 or Apeness if he gets going)
Ballas has been the end of a few sitters. Very flattering that he's on 7 goals, hardly looked like he has kicked many. If he's injured, he needs a rest either way. It's Yarrans 1st game since the WAFL GF. He's not coming in.
Ballaz had a bad game, last week he was injured. He will stay in. He's kicked 7 goals this season. More than most
Crozier either has one more chance, or he gets dropped for Langdon. Hannath is meh, but wouldn't mind seeing him get a game for Clarke, just get Clarke out of the team and club the useless hack needs to leave already.

must say I believe this is the main problem in our forward line. Walters the only one who really goes back and has confidence kicking goals. Fyfe the other who looked confident down there when he was resting. The rest of our forwards seem a little nervous, although they are competing hard.I don't really care how unfit he might be. Plonk him in the forward line and don't make him run lengths of the field. He has scored 3 goals zip in less than a half, nearly took a screamer and is putting on defensive pressure. Yes I know it's WAFL but if the young kids in the team are going to fight so hard to get the ball into the forward line we need players (other than Walters) who they can have confidence will finish off their work. Otherwise, they might lose their spark
Ballas has been horrible all year, Mayne little better (although incremental improvement in last 2 weeks)
I don't really care how little he has played this year, he's not an 18 yr old kid. Plonk him in the forward line and don't make him run lengths of the field. So effectively play with 17 on the field and handcuff him to the post?
Let him build his fitness. He's coming off injury, you really want him to go straight back out injured?
I changed my post because my real concern is that he is rusty because he hasn't played since last September. But he's not some 18 year old sapling. Yes he's green but he is a physically mature athlete. Plenty of players have been brought straight back into the seniors.
Keep him in the forward line but yeah unless his game minutes is managed in this WAFL game then if he's fit enough to play 4 quarters then play him. Freo needs to do something because it's one hell of a big hole if they fix up their back line only to lose games badly due to chronic forward line issues. And they are chronic.
