try and at least stretch the Dawks defence...

Things i want to see though this week:

-Nothing to lose, take risks approach.
-Mongrel and some energy around the contests. Looked far too docile so far this year.
-Proper forward structure now no Tex, two KFPS and JJ...
-Sauce to extract the digit and start to get involved around the ground. This is his absolute final chance IMO, if you cant dominate hacks like Bailey and Hale then we must bite the bullet.
-Danger to play PERMANENT midfield. we are getting reamed in clearances and centre breaks. enough said.
-Proper crumming forwards, possibly bring back Nutter. Leave Jaensch FP and put Petrenko half back.
-Porpoise to play wing/midfield... need some silky play reading players.

I have seen Reilly blamed for a lot of things on this board - but blaming Dangerfields poor start to 2013 on Reilly's form is just brilliant - and by brilliant i mean ridiculous.

Then if Petrenko gets picked or Smack does , I think might have footy free weekend to get blood pressure down .
Hope they give Johnston a go as we have to be positive about getting a winning score total.

My point is you keep referring to the output of our elite players and seem to ignore the output of the rest. One of Essendons and the Hawks strength is the talent they've got around the ground. Both the players I mentioned aren't elite midfielders, they are talented players who can pick up any midfield slack

Reading threw this thread I have to say I'm quite surprised that some are calling for Petrenko to be dropped. I would have thought that he would of most likely be the defensive/forward match up for Birchall.

I know on paper thats what it appears, but Dempsey, Hanley and Walker ran amok against us.
