Ya the range I was thinking of was around 30 I forgot that first round ends at 26. Also I prefer meth over crack.
First round ends at 18. It only inflates after priority picks and compensation picks from free agency.
Edit: and academy bids.

On the bright side, AB is now good enough to get tags, he'll work through it and get better as a result. Cerra needs to step up in these situations
yep, however once that happens; i expect teams to switch and to start bullying and bashing serong and cerra.

Oh shit nevermind haha yeah that's absurd thinking schultz would get first round 😂. Thanks for correcting me! I kind of do want him to be traded for a first rounder though to see that guy buy an Ikea store and the other one buy an eagles membership.

I love your enthusiasm but you need to put down the crack pipe if you think we will get a first for Schultz. None of the 3 KPD you mentioned would net anything more than pick 35, maybe get 25 for Logue if he played a few decent games this year. I think you do have a point that we don’t need both hamling and Pearce, but there’s minimal value to be gotten from trading either. 4th rounder at best. If Schultz is ever traded for a first round pick I will buy an Eagles membership every year for the rest of my life.
If we delist a few of those injury prone players than do you think the AFL would give us some compensation/priority picks?

That is something the AFL should look at IMO. Some sort of pick compensation for draft picks in the first or second round that turn out to be injury prone and are completely wasted. Players like Mora or Pitt.

I'm pretty sure that injuries is taken into account when awarding picks. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Priority_draft_pick
If that is the case we might need to make some hard decisions as a club and delist a few injury prone players to get some picks.

Out: Young, Shultz, Acres, Meek
In: Fyfe, Sturt, Watson, Tracey

It's clear that we need more support in the forward line. Tracey and Sturt should provide this. Players that actually lead to the ball carrier.

Unlucky for Meek but don't think we can carry two big rucks. Although Meek is very agile (and keeps his feet at contests), he doesn't appear to take marks or provide a good enough contest.

Watson comes in for Young. We need a bit more height in the backline to provide a chop out for our defence.

Colyer and Hughes are on absolute thin ice.

The AFL have never given a priority pick to a team because of their injuries. It's purely down to performance. Let's be realistic. We never got any help in 1994, I highly doubt the AFL are going to give us any help now. We need to move on and worry about this week (the topic of this thread).

Better chance of Ben Cousins becoming the next Pope.
AFL hate freo man. They don’t give priority picks to the likes of us. If we won the spoon 10 years in a row they wouldnt give us any extra picks. The injury situation would actually further reduce our chances of a priority pick not increasing it. What they mean by “take injuries into account” is that if a team is crap and has no injuries they are less likely to improve and therefore more in need of a priority pick.

Whats the go for this week ? What have we heard so far?

Any mention of Treacy? Sturt kicks 5 but is he match fit? Does an injury proned Logue come in straight away and does the captain wait another week or two to be safe than sorry?

I have us winning regardless who comes in and out as there's pressure to win, the rainy weather helps them which if that happens becomes a 50/50. We must be fierce, ready to go the biff and do pressure acts throughout the game.

Watson or Dunman will come in to replace Young.
Crowden would be a like for like replacement for Shultz.

If those others above are ready, then you look at taking out Acres, Colyer, Henry, Hughes and Meeks of the world.

No idea. I get the feeling that JL isn't going to bring anyone we want in.

Yessiree Bob, we don't do bold selection inclusions at Fremantle!

I think he'd be best served to do so, as the club's social media channels are running hot with unhappy campers!

I get the feeling none of them are 100% ready. If that's the case I agree with him, but I'll still be devo when Sturt, Mitch, Logue etc don't come in.

Sturt has played a full match of WAFL football. Make it happen!

They may not be 100% ready, however they bring a whole lot more upside than what is already in the side.
Sydney, Adelaide and now Essendon have all benefited from introducing quality youth, backed by experience.
They have to play sooner or later, I prefer sooner so that they get the experience and are ready for the later.

EDIT: Talking about Sturt, Logue, Treacy, Chapman and Henry.

Would be laughable if Sturt is still down at Peel this weekend after last Saturday. Jlo has officially lost the plot if that’s the case

Touche but gotta remember that we did have 9 players on the field with less than 30 games under their belt. We’re still the 4th youngest team in the comp.

I hope we see some of Sturt, Logue, Fyfe, Treacy, or some combination thereof. However, I don’t think we can complain about bringing players back too early and getting recurrent issues, and then also complain about players doing managed minutes in the WAFL on their way back.

Although this is an online forum, so I suppose we can do anything we want. Go for it, I guess.

I actually hope there are no changes made this week and the mob from last week's shitfull display learn to stand on there own 2 feet and take some accountability for their performance. It should not be up up to a couple to carry the other 95%.

I don't know anything about conditioning, but he missed a lot of football and is super important for us so I wouldn't be surprised if we took our time with him.

Darcy and Meek will be fine against Ceglar and McEvoy.

Hartigan will go to Taberner leaving a ruck, Treacy and Fyfe on someone they should beat with the ball in the air.

You just know that if he plays WAFL hes gonna step on a sprinkler and turn an ankle.

If some of of our players need some time in the WAFL to get match fitness than so be it. We have to trust the new S&C team. However, we need to drop Acres and bring in Fyfe and Treacy (who is fit).

I’m slightly scared that Bell didn’t mention Sturt on the injury update as having got through the WAFL game unscathed. For all we know both his legs could have snapped walking back to the car!

Is Logue the type of player that can come straight back in after injury or will he be needing time at Peel?
