In: maca,fyfe and lower

Out: suban,ibbo and neale

-Crowley to clamp down hard on cotchin
-Fish pub like wise on Dusty Martin
-Deledio ????
Crowls to stay on Deledio. Towelled him up earlier this season and that went a massive way in the win. Dusty is one of those players that can play a great first quarter than not be seen for the 2nd and 3rd, Pearce can clamp down on him and go hard.

I like these outs but Neale should stay in, he was great when he came on, did some useful things plus a clever snap goal.

Think Mayne will be rested this week.

IN: MacPharlin, Fyfe, Lower, Clarke
OUT: Suban, Ibbo, Neale, Mayne (inj)

Clarke, Keps, Pav in the forward line? I don't see it happening - for balance it'd be more likely to bring in Mello (if fit) than clarke

FREMANTLE
B: McPhee Dawson Johnson
HB: Suban Mcpharlin Spurr
C: Mzungu Crowley Duffield
HF: Hill Pavlich Pearce
F: Mayne Sandilands Ballantyne
Foll: Griffin Fyfe de Boer
I/C: Lower, Mundy Walters Barlow
Emg: Roberton Neale Sutcliffe

In: Sandiland, Fyfe, Mcpharlin, Lower
Out: Roberton, Neale, Ibbotson, Bradley

I have tried to keep the team balance correct, so i have only swapped a tall for tall or small for a small.

It will be interesting to see if Sandilands and Griffin can play together. I dont think any team this year has played with two rucks successfully unless the rucks can go forward.

If Sandilands\Griffin are in the forward line then they have to kick at least 2-3 goals as he provides no or very limited defensive pressure.

That's the heart of my dream team right there, glad i've got byes this week because Crowls always screws up my weekend when we verse Richmond.

Mayne,Grover,Silvagni all trained.Fyfe,Mcphee,Pav,Griff didnt
Mundy ran laps
I have a sinking feeling about Sandi who slid while attempting a mark and seemed to reinjure his foot
Limped for a while but continued to train ,hope I/m wrong and was just a twinge

Won't be easy this game. Tigers have nothing to lose, and the big ground will suit their midfield.
Our midfield needs to use the ball way better than last week to win this. Fyfe will be very important.

when was this ?? I didnt notice him limping at all,if there was any chance of him re injuring the same foot I dont think he would continue to train ,surely ?
the oval looked pretty soft underfoot, probably not ideal conditions for someone suffering the effects of turf toe

One of the reasons Freo Oval is holding back the footy club. IT is such an average ground to train on and have been said by Belly (I think..) that it needs changing.

Need to replace Mayne remember. Mellington is injured. If SNOS is fit I'd have him in and put Macca or Dawson forward to put pressure on Tiges defense.

Crowley shut Deledio down like no other has in maybe 2 years earlier this year. Would have to think he'll be heading his way again
deBoer played a terrific game too. Forgive me, but does he tag or is he more your "run with" type?

De Boer was our first choice tagger last year, but with Crowley dropping the weight and getting his fitness up Crowley has gone back to being the first choice tagger. So I'd expect Crowley to tag your most damaging mid... most likely Cotchin.

De Boer is generally very disciplined and is able to tag. But I wouldn't see Ross employing two taggers in the midfield. If you have a quarterback type in your backline that really dominates the play (e.g. a Hodge, Deledio in prior seasons, Hurn) then De Boer may be given a tagging job on them. If he is matched up against someone in midfield it'll be more of a run-with role, rather than negation.

Won't be a fun day for the fella he's matched up against, even if it is run-with... he's usually pretty accountable for the guy he's matched up on even if it is just a run with.

I'd heard that Deledio was playing more midfield/onball this year. Is that true?

Imagine if Ross the Boss sends Sandi to the WAFL to get some match fitness
