Changes v Swans

Schache has a contract so he’s around unless we offload him (which I can’t see happening). Trengove is gone.
Josh Schache can ask for a trade him having a contract with us means nothing in this day and age. If he can’t get a game with us he will be mad to be sticking around I agree with Trengove he is gone which is strange he can’t get a game because the club want out of it’s way and recruited him

I’m kind of surprised anyone thinks a key forward who can’t get a game in his fifth season will have any currency at all. A club might give him a punt if it costs them nothing, but we’d get nothing for him.

See Andrew McDougall, Henry Playfair, Josh Jenkins. Late swap of picks, if anyone will take a crack.

Team looks too short for me
Ideally we should play one more tall - Trengove / Schache / Le Young
With the team selected we need to play like we did against GWS if we are to be a chance and English will need to drop back again
Good luck – go Dogs

If he doesn't start getting games, I'm inclined to agree. Should've been worth a second rounder, but at this rate we'd be lucky to straight up get a third. Maybe a pick upgrade

I know it's a short season and it started 3 months ago but we need to remember we've only played three rounds. The commentary here that seems to write off Schache for the season looks a bit premature to me.

He has been squeezed out with the arrival of Bruce and with MC's clear intent on playing Naughton as a forward rather than a defender. I expect he'll get a run when either of those is injured - or if they decide to send Naughton back to defence (unlikely). It's strange because I reckon Schache playing as a KPF should be good for 25+ goals and so far Naughton and Bruce have kicked just 2 between them in 3 games.

After the GWS EF last year and the Collingwood debacle in Rd 1 Bevo's game plan has reverted to playing speedier types who can move the ball on quickly and also those who apply pressure and have a bit of aggression and physicality - that is Schache's biggest challenge.

His frustration will be that with no VFL competition available to him this year - only semi-serious scratch matches - it's going to be hard to bang the selection door down.

Ugle-Hagan is a likely arrival next season so Schache needs to prove his value in 2020. I don't know if he can do that but I reckon he'll at least get a chance somewhere along the way this season. Let's see how he acquits himself.

Not sure if i want a 10 goal win or a close win with a lopsided free kick count more

I'd like a 60 point win with a +25 free kick count in our favour, there will be more melts than a fire at Madam Tussauds

They're already getting in early on the Swans board. Tbh I'd love a 10-goal win while losing the free kick count just to fu** with their heads even more.

I’d love it if one of the umpires for this week was an umpire from the 2016 GF. Many lols would be had.

One of the 2016 GF umpires, Matt Stevic, umpired our game last week :)

Another, Simon Meredith, umpired the Brisbane vs West Coast game

The last, Scott Jeffery, didn't umpire last week so not sure whether he's still active

I’d be more concerned of the lack of height in the Swans backline if I were a Swans fan. A combination of Mills, Rampe and Allir to take on Bruce and Naughton. I think we have our mix right. It’ll be up to our mids on how well we go.

Add to that the fact Bont can swing forward at stages and dale and Wallis are more marking types than crumbing types, if we give enough decent delivery should have no issues marking the ball in there

They're also playing two relatively slow ruckmen as makeshift forwards
