Agree he's not part of the future, but I don't think we're at play the kids stage just yet.
I think 9 of the next 11 up until Round 20 are winnable games, excluding Swans and Freo.
If wildcard is out of the picture by the time we face the Hawks in Tassie, like I probably thought it would be too be honest with us being bottom 8 and 8-10 wins, then give younger guys games to close out the last four games of the season.
We'll probably find a few young guys work their way into the team like Hardemann and Goater before then anyway.
It was over when we couldn’t beat a GwS team without greene and taylor

We get this "play the future " yet 9 out 10 people want Dovaston out. Reason is he's not up to it yet.

There's plenty of "future" in the team already. Wardlaw, Sheezel, McKercher, Trembath,O'Sullivan, Curtis. Hardeman soon.

Out: Zurhaar, Spargo, Corr, McDonald, Powell, Daniel, Dovaston
In:Wardlaw, Dawson, Goad, Goater, Harvey, Hardeman, George

Season over, play the kids.

B: Blamires-Comben-Dawson
HB: Goater-Logue-Harvey
C:Hardeman-Sheezel-Simpk
HF: Curtis - Goad - FBGZ
F: Wardlaw-Larkey-McKercher
R: Trembath - LDU - FOS
IC: Xerri - Stephen -
Hardeman - Darling - George

Em: MWhitlock - Dovaston - Konstantys - Pinks - Archer - Thredgold

He dreams of making as much sense as me, please. In his dampest of wet dreams... like the kid, but not sure I'd be spending my life doing Business Banking, Insto dealer(again), sure... porque no!? As long as I could run 25/75 Long Short I'd be able to make target.

If he's an effective onfield coach then he should definitely be part of the present and immediate future (ie 2027.)

They are the future but these guys are now experienced enough to carry more future. Its time to rid of the handbags

Spot on. He’s a 300 game coach standing in a pocket next to someone like Trembath. His knowledge & craft is going to expedite Trembath’s growth.
Same for Parker as well down back. Like Hodge did for the Lions we just need to find a Zorko, Andrews, Wilmot, Coleman and we should be sweet 😎

Yep. And we're trying to get players to sign on or come across from other clubs as well, so we have to walk a bit of a tightrope of chasing wins and having an eye on the future. If you can do both, then great.
Now I wouldn't be playing Darling every game, as I think you do need to give Goad and Matlock a run at times, but it's only been the last couple of games where both are starting to look a bit more ready with their VFL form.
I'm sure the list team will need to make some calls on players, so we might see some debuts.

Sure. Like Tex who is still playing at Crows. Darling will need to be managed to give the young guys a run at times, but there's value if he plays VFL at times or works with young guys during the week on fwd craft.

So FOS to Heeney is a given.
Konstanty has to come in and play on Blakey.

We do that and we are half way there.

LDU fit can go against Warner and hurt him the other way.

Grundy just played Max and is a bit banged up. X should be primed for this one.

I still think Sydney will get us due to their strong start and record at Marvel.
But if we come with the right intent, get selection right then who knows.

Swans think this will be a straight forward victory so lets see what happens. Were 4-4 at Marvel. Lets make it 5 from 5.

That may be the case, but I don't think you can give up on the season just yet.
You can probably take one older magnet out of each part of the ground and absorb the fluctuation in performance of the young player and not impact the team chemistry. Go too young and you get 100 point beltings.

Most of the better performing teams this year are running two rucks which is paying dividends.

Us, well let's just say CCJ is limited in that role and Goad isn't quite there yet, we're make-shifting and risking an enormously talented forward and another bloke who is 191cm and who doesn't have a vertical leap.

Moving on both Teakle and Maley looks more interesting everyday.

Konstanty snaps Blakey in half and I'd slap another 2 years on top of the 2 years he already got.

KONT just needs to be in for Mills to start having night mares in the lead up to the game when he broke his shoulder on Mad Monday in 2024. Our best 3 tacklers with intent and power are Xerri, PC and KONT.

KONT will cover the shite tackling of Stephen’s/Kerch/Dovaston/Powell.

In town today I saw a blue and white van with something positive written in Pink on it. "BLam I'n in PLumbing" or something like thta. Can't remember now. It was round the corner from a shop I had to stop at and as I walked in Pink Pony Club was on.

Based on that I reckon the changes are:

Wardlaw for Powell/LDU/Dov

... and maybe Hardeman for someone.

You people have got me all in on Konty Boy.

Yeh bring him in. Par is 10 tackles and minimum 2 injuries (to Cola players).

If he's good enough for Gatty, he's good enough for me.

If Clarkson is serious about winning games (and he should be, he needs to be showing results this year) some players just need to given an extended spell n the twos:

Powell - banished to the twos until he shows some grit and consistency. His laziness without the ball is only matched by his laziness with it. This has been a 180 turnaround from the last few years, where he has been reliable with his disposal. Just not good enough.

In: Wardlaw

Dovaston - way off it. Just needs an extended time in the twos kicking bags and chasing.

In: Banch

McDonald - if getting caught, impeded, rundown was decided by a medal, this guy would be filling his trophy cabinet. Disposal has been overall reliable this year, but he cannot be relied upon when the oppo pressure rises and ours disappears.

In: Hardeman

Corr - just too many errors by foot and hand for this guy to be in the team.

In: Pink/Dawson/Whitlock. Don’t really give a f*ck.

B: Zurhaar - Logue - Parker
HB: Hardeman - Chom - McKercher

C: Simpkin - FOS - Stephens

HF: Sheezel - Larkey - Duursma
F: Banch - Trembath - Curtis

R: Xerri - Wardlaw - LDU

I: Darling - Daniel - Whitlock/Pink - Spargo - Blamires
Nice job. Maybe Goater for Z in a couple of weeks

Grundy looked to have spent plenty of petrol ticket's v Gawn last week, bet he is looking forward to crossing path's with Xerri this week, i have heard rumours he may be managed and they will bring in Ladhams, hope so.

Got my Kerridge for the week then

The media are all over Grundy at the moment. “All Australian Grundy Grundy Grundy …..” One of them mentions Big X and how great he was on the weekend …. awkward pause …. “Grundy Grundy Grundy blah blah blah …”

I hope Big X has another absolute blinder.
