NicNat is out, Lycett has a buggered knee and Giles is as slow as a wet weak. Priddis is their only decent inside mid and Gaff and Shuey need someone to give it to them. Really can't see why we can't beat them up on the inside. Jetta out is also big loss. Why do everyone think they are unbeatable?

We need to start fast otherwise we're no chance. If we're down at half time I would kiss the game goodbye.

Need to pile it on quickly and try and jump them while we have the fresh legs.

You forgot to mention LeCras, Kennedy, Darling and Barrass. They're a strong outfit.

5 massive in's... In fact I doubt we have had 5 changes that improve the team that much in one hit for quite a while.

Like many others have said I would have liked to see one of McLean or Hrovat in for Jong, as I think not only do they use the ball much better, they would be better up forward from a goal scoring perspective.

Time to break the drought then don't you think?

All the pressure on the Eagles, so would hate your team to choke in front of the home crowd.
We choked in front of the whole country last year (GF :() & against Adelaide earlier in the year in front of the home crowd!! So hopefully they have exorcised those horrors with the recent Hawks & Crows wins. Still all the pressure, but we start over again with the finals. Eagles also owe Bullies one from R11 this year, payback time!

Also surprised to see Roberts dropped but I'm not unhappy about it. He tends to panic a bit when under pressure and the pressure tomorrow will be immense

Jong has some finals expierence. Would love to see him replaced by McLean or Hrovat but this is a massive game. They would play next week imo, but this week will be tougher than next week

Strongly agree. Wce have looked like hacks at times this year. Does their late season form withstand scrutiny? Yeah they beat gws that was the Nic Nat show. Crows yeah well Rd 23 form is a hard gauge ( Gabba last year) my point: wce are not unbeatable

We also convincingly beat the Hawks as well at Subi. So we are going into the finals well tuned with 3 wins against top 8 sides, and 2 of those wins were away wins. Since the Dockers game our teams has shown a big lift in tempo and up until the bye were in good form. Earlier in the season we appeared to be coasting. So difficult to gauge how things will turn out.

round 11 team this year vs WCE

B Matthew Boyd, Marcus Adams, Matthew Suckling
HB Shane Biggs, Dale Morris, Fletcher Roberts
C Lachie Hunter, Tom Liberatore, Tory Dickson
HF Liam Picken, Jake Stringer, Luke Dahlhaus
F Tom Campbell, Jack Redpath, Josh Dunkley
FOL Jordan Roughead, Jack Macrae, Marcus Bontempelli
I/C Mitch Wallis, Toby McLean, Bailey Williams, Caleb Daniel

 So are you telling me that Caleb Daniel played a final before Libba, JJ or Roughead?? That's too funny to ignore
Yep.
Roughead debuted in 2010 but didn't play in September for us that year.
Libba debuted in 2011 and missed 2015 with the ACL injury.
JJ was injured last September too.

It's going to be won in the middle- without NicNat it will be a lot easier.

See, I disagree. The team with the better forward conversion wins for mine. West Coast have lots of firing power and our forward entries have been putrid. Whether we win the middle or not, we need to make the most of our opportunities and start fast.

Eagles defenders match our forwards up well. Strong backline, dangerous forward line. No disrespect to their midfield but think that's our strength in this game. If Libba and Macrae can slot back somewhere near their best.

Plus we are a great last quarter team.
Um, are we?

Blew it against Hawthorn, completely lost all structure against Carlton but had a huge lead so we weren't under scoreboard pressure but it was an awful quarter, couldn't take a grab against Norf first time around or St Kilda second time when we needed to, nearly blew it against Adelaide only saved by the Bont and Morris, nearly blew it against both WCE and Sydney and were smashed by Geelong at Etihad. I didn't watch R23 but we were goalless that quarter too so imo we aren't great last quarter teams, would say Geelong and Hawthorn are though.

Only real games we turned up in the last quarter was Freo round one when we piled them on late and against Collingwood, Port and Richmond when we were down at three quarter time, probably the Port win was the best last quarter of the year for me while we had a bit of luck against Collingwood when they lost a few in the second half which helped our rotations. We simply just outclassed Richmond late though

We've been resilient I guess at times but imo our last quarters have been patchy.
