The talls make me nervous however Bev knew and thinks he has a plan so a tad confident. Wish it rained

Interesting for Roberts. Probably feels like shit. Used for the whole year with no injuries then booted out. Harsh game sometimes
Look I feel for Roberts and have stood up for him. But against Freo he was poor, so he paid the price. The back line is short but fast and efficient. Compared to to WC we are shorter. It is a night game and it will suit us, imo. an upset is on the cards. this is where bevo is being tested as a coach. GO DOGS!!!

5 massive in's... In fact I doubt we have had 5 changes that improve the team that much in one hit for quite a while.

Like many others have said I would have liked to see one of McLean or Hrovat in for Jong, as I think not only do they use the ball much better, they would be better up forward from a goal scoring perspective.
Jong has kicked 13 goals from 15 games- seems pretty comparable to McLean's 12 from 12 and Hrovat's 3 from 4, especially when you account for the fact that Jong spends less time forward than McLean.

Can someone post a list of who is playing in their first final tomorrow night?

Zaine Cordy
Clay Smith
Tom Boyd
Josh Dunkley
Tom Liberatore
Jordan Roughead
Jason Johannisen

Yet they only kicked 9 goals. The only reason we lost that game was 0 tall forwards
we had Campbell and Roughead rotating. This game we will have Boyd and Roughead rotating. Not much difference really

One thing we have going for us is versatility
If it starts to go pear shaped, at least Bevo can swing some changes

We won 15 games, so I think Bevos game plan has worked reasonably well. I think Hawkins and maybe Jenkins are the only two big forwards we have had trouble with.
Who's talking about tall forwards? Opposition tall backlines have embarrassed our forwards all year while we've lost the contested marking in every loss this year.

round 11 team this year vs WCE

B Matthew Boyd, Marcus Adams, Matthew Suckling
HB Shane Biggs, Dale Morris, Fletcher Roberts
C Lachie Hunter, Tom Liberatore, Tory Dickson
HF Liam Picken, Jake Stringer, Luke Dahlhaus
F Tom Campbell, Jack Redpath, Josh Dunkley
FOL Jordan Roughead, Jack Macrae, Marcus Bontempelli
I/C Mitch Wallis, Toby McLean, Bailey Williams, Caleb Daniel
No Wood or JJ running off half back in that game!

We need to start fast otherwise we're no chance. If we're down at half time I would kiss the game goodbye.

Need to pile it on quickly and try and jump them while we have the fresh legs.
You are never out till the fat lady sings. we will be there all the way and we will take the bickies home...

Pretty pumped now. Haven't been too nervous during the bye but the time has come. **** I hope we give a good showing.

Libba's first ever final.

I doubt he'll be feeling underdone.

Some of the Coaster's ribs will feel tender and underdone after his first few tackles.

If Clay plays I expect the long break will do him the world of good as well. He's been rightly criticised on here but let's not forget that in his first games back he showed that ferocious attack on the ball.

Clay and Libba will be taking out some long pent up frustrations on Thurs. Don't know if they can bring it for four quarters but they will bring it on.

Cameron and Stanley didn't have bad games against us.

Best of luck tomorrow and I hope you achieve what be team couldn't- win a final at Subiaco. Look strong on paper and I dont think this will be a walkover by any stretch. My concern as always with your lot is lack of (tall) forward punch which be compounded by McGovern and Barrass. How do you think Bev will structure the forward line and who, simply put, kick the goals?

True but I suppose it's just an eye test with me. I just have more confidence in McLean and Hrovat in front of goal, particularly McLean, than Jong.

I honestly have my heart in my mouth when Jong has the ball. But he does go very hard and is a better mark than the other two and can hit the scoreboard so hopefully the match committee have got it right.

He was asked whether Campbell would travel and he said yes.
So if Campbell didn't fly over yesterday and didn't fly with the team today, when did / will he go? He's been named as an emergency. I'm sure he was picked as cover for Roughy or Boyd, but surely he can't fly over tomorrow if Roughy/ Boyd don't come up after training tonight??
