i agree, it's a bit stiff, but it's a tactical move to support Smith in the ruck. Both Darcy and Lobb are out and would have supported Smith if they were playing. Emmett and Croft are the same height but Emmett is very much more a natural ruck than Croft (even if I thought Croft rucked actually quite well vs. Peter Wright too).

Not sure why anyone is shocked at Croft being dropped. Maybe it wasn’t evident on TV but from the ground, his efforts were extremely poor. Wasn’t making leads and then he’d let his opponent run off and get involved in the rebound.

Yeah, like I say, I agree with it. I think he’s been very poor. It just speaks volumes that he’s been dropped even in these circumstances.
