Out Sauce, DMack, Thommo
In Tex, CEY, Hampton.

Hampton is an upgrade from McKay IMO. He did not have a particularly bad game, but Hampton looks to play that line breaking role with Kore damage. Thommo looks cooked and CEY is like for like

Am tempted to go ROB over Tex. Give the Texan another week off.

That was thommo's best game in weeks , much sharper and clean

Depatable, but Atkins is inexperienced, if he's doing this sort of shit with another 20-30 games under his belt, then you've got some worries. Mackay has plenty of time under his belt and is still as inconsistent as ever and continuing to make the same mistakes he always does.

If you are prepared to point the finger don't hold back call a spade a spade he was friggen useless I don't want him bringing that crap to a final

Wayne, go watch the replay and tell me how many of the bonbers scoring chains began from a Mooks squib, general shitness of poor disposal. I count 4 goals. See what you come up with. Then we will move on to thommo.
Thommo is creaking badly ......tell me about Atkins and Seedsman ?

ROB - Sauce
Walker - Mackay

Do I think the second one will happen? Probably not. But someone comes out for Tex to go in.

Again, you can't judge all players equally. Mackay is a senior player, Atkins isn't. That counts for something, the same reason people have been wanting to keep McGovern in, or Charles, despite them having some inconsistent patches this year.

Does more defensively than thompson. More athletic, better mark and would fit perfectly in our lineup imo
Cmon mate ......you just don't know that at all

Aaahhh ...but you wanted to post something that was popular on the board ...isn't that correct ......feel better now

Can't afford passengers in finals Mackay always contributes regardless what the mob say, he isn't dominant but as for Atkins he may aswell have stayed in the change rooms today

Atkins was shocking tonight, but a hell of a lot better than DMac over the course. Add to that the fact that he wasnt dropped for foŕm than recalled without playing a gàme.
Seedsman wasnt brilliant but his ineptness didnt cost us 50% of the opositions score and has by far outperformed DMac this year.

Both of the above players can stick a taxkle when it counts. Usually make half decent decisions and dont create turnovers whenever an opposition player accidentally brushes past them.

Brisbane's form has been even worse than Essendon (excluding the "please don't sack our coach" game against Essendon).

The par for this match is a 140 point win at home.

Not sure if that was ever going to happen when they planted Goddard in defence by himself as a loose to contain the margin

Your bias is showing and you're lashing out like a petulant child. You should log off, you are making yourself more a fool than normal.

Mackay was missing in action in the last finals series. Provided nothing.

Atkins did too, but again, he's much more inexperienced.

And yet ....not a word about that performance  ......even McGovern warranted discussion last week

Jesus. You have resorted to stealing Martys catch phrases now?

Cmon mate, Im sure you can get a bit more creative than that.

IN: O'Brien, Walker

TEAM:

HB: Laird - Talia - Smith
C: Cameron - Sloane - Atkins
HF: Lynch - Walker - Douglas
F: Betts - Jenkins - McGovern
R: O'Brien - Crouch - Crouch
I: Thompson - Lyons - Seedsman - Cheney

Think there was more than one loose Essndon player in defense in the last qtr .......love clubs who pay a player $700K a year to play loose man in defense ......Goddard has had the easiest AFL life ever ......never had a one on one contest ...and gets paid a fortune to not have an opponent most weeks ......great leadership & money well spent Essendon

Huge missed opportunity to play ROB - and we paid for it; in next week.

Mackay out - he could be BoG (he wasn't), and I'd still want him out, because he will let us down in finals, but his last two games have not earnt incumbency. He's not up to it.

It's not his offensive game ......it's apparently his defensive game as a midfielder that's the issue ......i defy most posters here that have watched next to no live SANFL games to be qualified to judge that aspect of CEY's game off TV or stats

How is Thommo's defensive game?

Brisbane's form has been even worse than Essendon (excluding the "please don't sack our coach" game against Essendon). They are absolutely putrid and have no defense whatsoever.

The par for this match is a 140 point win at home.
140 points is a once every couple of years type win. Not a par for anyone no matter how bad the club. Setting yourself up for disppointment.

He was a collosus out there today. Can not be ignored anymore.
Can.. and probably will be (ignored). CEY doesn't even appear to be on the selectors' radar. I think they've made up their mind about him, and have no intentions of playing him unless absolutely forced to do so. Given that the only injury (touch wood) coming out of this game was Jacobs' ankle, and ROB is his ready-made replacement, I think it's highly unlikely that CEY will be selected next week.
