And if Wigg was in, we'd feel for Cam. One of those two had to be the hard luck story. CEY has probably been more consistently tearing it up in the SANFL I'd say.

In a sense Wigg would have been better in that had he played a belter and Dougie continued his flatlining, he could have remained in the side. CEY a bit more inside midfield or bust.

Hasn't Henderson played more SANFL games this season than either of them?
He has.. I just didn't want to bother with all of the logic, as it would bore most people (and go completely over your head).

Going back 2 weeks, Henderson was in the team, with Mackay the traveling emergency and Seedsman playing in the SANFL. That's the baseline I'm using. The only reason Henderson is currently out of the team is because he's injured. That's why I think he's currently the highest ranked of those three players. I have no idea what effect his latest injury will have on his standing.

That leaves us with Mackay & Seedsman. Their selections over the last month have been as follows:
R17 - Mackay named on the ground, Seedsman a late inclusion off the emergency list
R18 - Mackay traveling emergency, Seedsman SANFL
R19 - Mackay & Seedsman both named on the ground
R20 - Mackay named on the ground, Seedsman on the bench

Looking at those team selections, it is clear that the selectors rate Mackay ahead of Seedsman.

Thus, the order is:
1. Henderson (subject to return from injury)
2. Mackay
3. Seedsman

I'm sure you can think of some opportunities we've had if you try really, really hard.

I'm sure he'd remember scoffing at the thought and telling the 'pro-resters' that they were idiots that engaged in group think, succumbed to shinytoyitis and had no idea what they were talking about. But then, that response would cover a number of topics.

Are you seriously trying to split the order in which Seed and Mackay returned to the side so that you can maintain Mackay is ahead on your imaginary list? You have no idea who's ahead of who, I doubt the coaches are keen to make a call. If you want to take the higher ground, then admit it's close right now and could easily go either way.
It's close... but all signs indicate that it's Mackay who is ahead.

Put it this way.. If they didn't rest McGovern this week, who do you think would have been omitted? Seedsman, or Mackay. The answer is Seedsman.

What I meant was the crows have already spoken with another club and have arranged a trade. Therefore we would blood someone like Wigg or give Grigg a last grasp.

gottcha

Not a lot of point in going back more than a month. It's dynamic. Henderson moved ahead of the other two. I got over it - maybe you should too?

Actually, I'd be more than happy to see Henderson at the back of that queue. I think he's the softest player we've had since Luke Jericho, and I really don't rate him at all as a result of that. What I want, and what I think is the reality, are not the same thing in this case.

And this is the frustrating thing. They should have known they were resting Thommo. They should have known 6 weeks out.

They should have known last week that they'd want CEY to come in. They should have had CEY the emergency last week. Just dumb.
Bolded bit is the just plain wrong. This time last week it was Wigg they planned on using to replace Thompson. Then CEY put in a blinder against Port-lite and forced his way ahead of Wigg.

Henderson 'moved ahead' of Seedsman when Seedsman was injured.

Your answer is Seedsman. My answer is another would be rested until they're comfirtable making the call. And if that's not the case, then I'd not make a call with any confidence. Seed for the future, Mackay due to the past. Having said that, your view that travelling emergency is meaningful was scuppered this week with Wigg missing out despite the perfect opportunity presenting itself.

Is it not you that regularly posts that SANFL form runs a distant 3rd to AFL and then training form.

Mate you knowledge of footy is laughable. Your making a fool of yourself.

Seedsman will be playing finals, that I have no doubt. Just like the commentators said after he nailed his goals, he's got a serious weapon, there aren't many players on our list let alone the entire league who can regularly hit goals from 60m from one or two steps, it's a weapon along with Smith.

That's my point. He can't jump ahead of CEY like that. How did Wigg go against Port?
Wigg was already ahead of CEY.. then CEY played a blinder, while Wigg was watching from the sidelines (due to being the emergency for the AFL game).

It's just bad luck for Wigg that CEY chose that week to play the best game of his career. CEY will probably never play that well again in his entire life, but he timed it just right (given the need to rest Thompson).

Was it now. You know this because Wigg was named emergency? ROFL.:D:D:D
