Played one good game in his life and it happened to be in a prelim.

People are making a bit deal of McStay playing in the 2nds jumper at training but so did Cox. It probably doesn't mean anything unless they're going in smaller.
Yep, he took 8 contested marks in that prelim vs Richmond.

Carey took 10 contested marks once and there have been 9 contested marks by one player in a game 9 times since they tracked contested marks.

That's how good a game Cox played in that prelim and he's never come anywhere close to it in his 80 games since then.

Nice for Collingwood to considering honoring Taylor Walker's 300th with both a Houston and another Texan, even though a huge cox!

Butts and Burgess at captains run. Suggests they will be in the 26 but both would be emergencies you’d think.

No Draper but Dowling is there. Likely out of him or Pedlar you’d think.

If I had to guess:

FB: Bond Keane Worrell
HB: Laird Murray Milera
_C: Cumming Dawson Curtin
HF: Michalanney Fogarty N-Bullen
FF: Walker Thilthorpe Keays
_R: O’Brien Berry Soligo
INT: Pedlar Taylor Hinge Peatling
SU: Smith
EMG: Dowling Butts Burgess

No idea who plays out of Pedlar or Dowling tho. You could argue team is a bit more balanced with Dowling.

Im playing Dowling.

Pedlar can play next week in SANFL ready for AFL Prelim if required.

Feels like he's one of those players that plays his best games against us.
If you're talking about Cox, he's just tall and can't kick more than 45 meters.
I imagine Murray will go to him and try and jump all over him with Woz cutting across most of the night.
Keane is good for Mihocek and Woz to run with and off old man Membrey

Anyone else sick of this whole bravado/rhetoric, bordering on entitlement coming from Collingwood that they will win because they have the experience?

I love that we are being written off because we don't have experience in September.

Yes, the pressure and intensity is greater, but we've had a lot of finals-like games this year and passed the test, getting better each time we are challenged.

I am thinking our youthful exuberance will be a strength going in, and the lads will hold no fear.

All year we have heard how driven and focussed they are as a group and I feel that will carry over tomorrow night.

Lets go nuts and bring them home and watch the Vics squirm.

I find it funny TBH, theyre concerned that theyve fired their best shot at us and still couldnt get it done.

Dowling out makes sense given he’s such an unknown. That’s not a knock on him though, he should have been in the team weeks ago.

I’d be pissed. Deserved a shot for weeks, finally get a look in the final game and perform, just to be dropped again.

But then this is finals. There’s always going to be difficult decisions and hard luck stories.

Personally I’d do Bond (and Draper) but it’s not like Bond doesn’t deserve his spot either.

Sounds like Michalanney and Pedlar in

Hope Bond stays in, he a genuine defender. Put him on Elliot.

I think the unlucky ones could be Draper and Dowling.

Really harsh for Dowling.
Could be Smith that steps aside too.

He could have defended.

True, but that was an Adelaide wide problem, not Dowling.

Billy just got somewhat unlucky that it was his man who decided to have a career day.
