For what it's worth, I'm questioning the Rhylee West selection, not Young or Cordy.
Young was very good last week. Very good. Trengrove worked hard and did a job all day, could be sore?
Young looks better than Trengove, more mobile and no clangers

If we insist on being consistent with our structure, as unpopular as I'm sure this would be, I would select Billy Gowers over Rhylee West in a heartbeat.I am too. In my case, I think Roarke Smith should have been preferred. More mature body, fast, overhead skills with a leap, accurate shot at goal, tackling machine, great defensive zoner, just as courageous.
The grandstand end/opposite end to the scoreboards/left of your radio dial.Is there a end the wind significantly favours at this ground ?
People froffing over Youngs second half in a side that kicked 10 goals to zero. Sheeeesh.
Hope the kid stands up tomorrow.
Maybe a farewell game for R Smith

I 100% believe in the potential of Rhylee West, but with only 1 game of experience, I don't agree with playing him in a crunch game which is basically a final.

Way too early for that call I reckon. Trenners will still likely be the preferred option against Hawkins, Brown, Lynch, Dixon etc. Still reckon there's room for both most weeks.I'm with you. I think Young's game last week showed he has gone past Trenners as the FB
I’ve been waiting for Young all year. (Wanting him in for Cordy). But no way based on one performance you can say he has gone past TrengroveI'm with you. I think Young's game last week showed he has gone past Trenners as the FB
Ah ok my bad.I called him a snail, not a small.
It's a fair point regarding West's inexperience in a big match but I look at it this way.If we insist on being consistent with our structure, as unpopular as I'm sure this would be, I would select Billy Gowers over Rhylee West in a heartbeat.

There was 8 of us coming over from Bendigo to Ballarat for tomorrow's big game....4 people just pulled the pin so there are 4 General admission Standing Room tickets for sale - $25 a ticket...any takers?

Thought about it and came to the same conclusion. On paper I probably would have seen Roarke as the safer option but if West has been killing it at VFL level it makes sense. It's a fair point regarding West's inexperience in a big match but I look at it this way.
Our forwardline has been highly functional in recent weeks with a regular starting 5 of Naughton, Schache, Lloyd, Dale and Dickson all playing a productive role and each getting 1-3 goals consistently (the 6th member has tended to be a rotating mid, usually B.Smith or Maclean).
Of those 5, I reckon Dickson is the best at hassling the defence and applying pressure.
With him out, we primarily need someone to perform that function and contribute offensively as a bonus
I have no problem with the MC deciding that West is the best player for that role. He has certainly earnt the chance.
I reckon his instruction will be to tackle, harass and retain the ball at every chance. If he does that, he will have performed his role, with goals and score involvements a bonus.
He doesn't need experience to have a red hot crack. If anything his youthful enthusiasm may well be a positive addition to the mix

He also has the ability to pinch hit in the middle and relieve Dunks/Macrae etc for a bit.
It’s a risk but he’s physically quite mature and will have a serious go.
Argh. Not sure how good this mail is - Crozier out R Smith in
