Essendon may not have any ruckman available if Ryder is not fit.
Apparently will definitely play, was only going to miss the 1 week

Agreed

You should be booking flights to Melbourne for September 27 imo

Do I detect a hint of sarcasm Keys?

You can't deny that for all the talk of our super tough fixture, that's a pretty long run of relatively cruisy games given the exposed form of those teams this year.

We're lucky really, you can never have too hard a fixture when you get to play the eagles twice every year.

They should be booking flights to Bali.

Tell you what for nothing;if that Jacky Ballard bloke had a few more games under the jock strap I'd be bunging him in.Could be the recruiters have pulled off another one at 1000:1.
1st game back from injury a 19 year old 6' 2/3" Barlow sized mid had an influence.Shade under 90kg I'd guess.
Looks the part and with the Big Barlow Boy to teach him we may have yet another revolutionary draft steal. Nothing wrong with a brace of ducks:):):D:D:p:p:rainbow::rainbow:

He did a few nice things. Solid boy with legs like mine.

not really

Don't know where to ask this so I’ll ask here:

Last year, although we had injuries, our 'core' midfield was relatively untouched. Regardless of the team, it "seems" that injuries to your top tier core midfielders can destabilize a team more than injuries to your ruck/Fwds/backs. Can anyone enlighten me to a game(s) recently (under RTB), where 2 out of Mundy/Barlow/Fyfe were out of the side and how did we go?

And moreso, how do we stop getting owned in the center (we lost the clearances to GC and Hawks).

Finally, Clarke was reported in WAFL (WTF?!), how likely will he be charged?

Last year we went to skilled stadium with out two of them and got whipped.

Apparently Hannath may also be reported so things could get interesting.

They're being a little kind to Mora there I think. Simpson only played one good qtr and I still reckon he had more impact.

Not much else to choose from though I guess. Other than Jones and that Dann(?) guy, most of the Peel boys are completely shite.

That Mathers (?) kid looked like a good defender. Sh*t kick though, from what I saw.

Definitely agree with this.

I hope Walters and Mayne pull up ok otherwise I can't see us winning this with our engine room depleted. They have both got ankle injuries right? Depending on the severity of an ankle injury I think they can come up pretty well with icing and rest. Barlow, Fyfe,Mayne and Walters gone would be huge outs. Guess we'll find out sometime today.

I'll get crucified for this, but Crozier disappoints me at times.

He's got all the skills and flair in the world, and will need more time to truly impact a game - that is a given.

However, on a couple of occasions last night, he hesitated when it was his turn to put his head over the hard ball when players like Sewell were charging into a contested position. (So would I ;) ).

I'm not going to label him soft just yet and hopefully that was an anomaly of a young, developing kid, as he won't have much future if it continues.

Agree with what you say... but was Sewell playing? I genuinely don't know (but didn't realise that he was, if he was).

Pitt used to do the same thing... and then he came back at the start of last season and started throwing himself head long at the ball. Was really impressed with his attack on the ball, and looking forward to what he would show. Then the poor b*stard had that problem diagnosed with his heart.

If Pitt turned it around over a pre-season (I think we'll be able to straighten Croz out). Simpson has been really good with his attack on the man and ball in the Peel games I've seen, and I thought he was a bit hesitant last year.

If they can do it, then I've got confidence that Croz can too.

EDIT: Checked... maybe you meant Lewis or Shiels instead of Sewell? ;)

Toss a coin, heads it will be 2 weeks, tails it won't be mentioned.

With the number of times it was replayed I don't think tails would be an option. They'll look at it for sure I reckon. Looked a bit crude, but didn't look like a blatant swing to me. Hannath is a bit of a sloth... so he might have been genuinely attempting a spoil. Purple glasses maybe.

Have to admit that I was seriously p*ssed off with the focus they gave the Sonny and Mayne incidents during the game. The Mayne one in particular was ridiculous. If I didn't realise how clueless Bruce was with current events re: tribunal and umpiring interpretations, I'd think he was trying to get Mayney rubbed out.

There is no way that will result in time, and should have been looked at once and thrown away... it was a tackle, not a bump. Different kettle of fish. Thank f*ck Harley or Richo (or Leigh) explained it to Bwuce in simple terms... not a bump, no problem. He didn't seem convinced though.

Couldn't see it from the telecast, but as I understand it he just threw Ricky Cary on the ground. Was a bit rough, but not rough conduct... is stuff all from the sounds of it I reckon... kind of like Silva's "jumper punch" report last week that turned out to be nothing.

Indeed, I meant Lewis.

Cocaine is a hell of a drug. ;)

I thought that it was that gnome Elari. Either way there was nothing in it, maybe a reprimand.

I'm pretty sure Cary took the free kick and converted. Figured it must have been him that was thrown, else he wouldn't have been given the kick.

Possible Outs:
Ibbotson - inj
Walters - inj
Mayne - inj
Hannath - Form

Possible Ins:
Dawson - Suspension end
Clanceee Pearce - Form
Clarke - Form
Sylvia - Form

I don't think we'll see more than 3 changes. I would love to see Sutcliffe, Sheridan, Crozier and Neale all get an extended run.

Hannath - Form/Possible Suspension
Crozier - Late call up so may potential to be dropped this week as well.

My fault, I thought it was Elari because they were seen wrestling before hand. It was Carey that he threw out of the way as he appeared to be blocking his run at the ball. Zac is not an aggressive player and there was no malice in it. The umpire was just stamping his authority on the game.

Time to bring back Clancee Pearce. Overheard he had 40 possessions in the WAFL on the weekend

Looking forward to seeing him back on the field
