Changes vs Essendon

Why do posters have a crack at others for having a different opinion on a player? Argue the point not try and discredit a poster for having a different opinion.

Some if you need to pull your head in as we are all North supporters.

Go North.

wrong, i read in the other thread a few other people including BE who thought jmac should have a spell in the vfl for a few weeks.

Yeah not sure including my opinion will add weight to yours. :)

Adams in for Gartlett

No other changes McMillan has been ok . Don't change a winning team.

Bloody pumped for Sunday , c'mon North

Essendon got on top of us in round 1 by monstering us with bigger players around the midfield.

NLM in particular had an influence in sparking them. Watson and Stanton drove home that advantage.

I would like to see team selection aimed at diluting that influence.

In: Greenwood & Adams.

I cant see Levi getting a spot. if he does, it will be to simply negate Watson as much as possible. but we all saw how well he did that against ablett. i honestly dont think there is a spot for him in our best 22 anymore. Cunners, Gibbo, even LA have all overtaken him.

Adams to come straight back in at the expense of Garltett or Fish. Campbell back to sub.

No other changes your honour.

Watson, Hocking, NLM.

Watson and Ablett are chalk and cheese.

Gibbo and LA are hardly playing inside lock down roles.

That's how I see it too.

I see that as an unnecessary defensive move, Watson is too good to be tagged and I think we just take the game on positively with our best 22.

Agree with the first couple of points.

Not sure about Greenwood though, unless its a pure lockdown role on somebody.

They won't trouble us for speed. Jetta, Davey and Colyer are the only players that need watching.

Jetta is easily the most dangerous and will get Atley.

I think they will attempt to gain a physical advantage at the contest and load up with height in the forward line. We need to nullify any impact around the stoppages.

Hird is probably going to sit back and see who plays in the Werribee v North Ballarat match, as Bendigo have a bye this week.

He might even pull a shifty and bring Ryder in late.

I would consider not playing all of the emergencies in the VFL this week to keep him guessing.

What would be the outs for this to occur?

Out: Mullet, Garlett
IN: Adams, Greenwood

I'd be reasonably comfortable with this!

North: In Adams, Out Mullet
Essendon: In Fletcher, Monfries, Crameri, Hibberd, Lee
Out: Slattery, Winderlich, Pears, Hooker, Howlett.

Who would have thought Essendon would drop both Hooker and Pears for a game against us?

I reckon Essendon will make some late changes. Surely a backline that has only two talls (Fletcher and Carlisle) won't cut it, especially given how Fletcher likes to play. It's madness for them to drop Hooker.

Can someone please describe what kind of players are Baguely, Lee and Browne? I've never seen them play.

Mid-sized defender is Baguely. Can rebound.

Browne I think is played on the wing.

Lee, no clue.

Baguley is a mature age player who played for Frankston. He's a big bodied, running defender. Browne kicked two awesome goals late last week. He's a smooth, evasive flanker. Lee is also a mature-agre who I think had the most ever possessions in a WAFL season last year. Ball magnet who's inside and outside.
