Peers? They are duds running around in the twos & will be cut from their respective lists in the next two years. If you are gonna go to all that trouble of doing a comparison, at least do it with AFL players. Again, pointless!!!
Majak's 'unique' flaws were being pointed out.

I was comparing his 'unique' strengths to some of his peers.

Pointless rebuttal.

Historically speaking Basti has played really well against Geelong, he likes it because Geelong isn't afraid to run forward of the ball and he can do damage on the rebound. If he can't get up for this game then you know his form is shot.

They are key position / ruck players of a similar age.

Majak THE FORMER ROOKIE is copping a lot of grief, well here's some of the alternatives WHO WERE DRAFTED WITH NATIONAL DRAFT 1ST, 2ND, 3RD ROUND SELECTIONS.

The fact you speculate they'll be off lists in the next 2 years further supports Majak.

Or maybe you're not offering any opinion at all but just critiquing without any view of your own.

What are you disgruntled about, champ?
In a nutshell, the inconsistency in performance and the fact that we prematurely signed Brad Scott to a ridiculously long contract without any evidence he can coach. Ross Lyon, Paul Roos and Ken Hinkley have all proven it does not take 5 years to implement a game plan.

Cheers.

I would add that those of us who were at Etihad for both the GC and Brisbane games would have personally witnessed clear evidence of Majak's improvement in certain areas in a period of just 2 weeks. For example, as many have noted, he got in Drew's space too often against GC. In the Brisbane game, you could see that he consciously made himself aware of where Drew was leading to and at times changed direction of his own leads. The majority of posters here know how much more you see at the ground as opposed to the TV. Most of us shut up when people who attended games that we didn't make some observations.

And I don't buy that it is a respectful opinion if you start off by saying he has made no improvement (just 100% wrong) and will be an embarrassment on Friday night. What part of that is respectful?

I have no problem with the very reasonable principle that everyone is entitled to their opinion and of course, it encourages discussion where opinions differ, which is a good thing. But I have no interest in discussing football with those who have no clue and feel the need to advertise the fact.

Attending the last 2 games makes you a better supporter than me. It doesn't make your opinion more valid. Are you going to Geelong this Friday? If not, best you refrain from posting to allow the more enlightened attendees to form your opinion for you.

Actually, small forwards seemed to cause more of a headache for Geelong's defenders, would love an inform Harper, Garner. Perhaps I was wrong for disregarding Wood for thinking it was to early

I just don't think comparing Daw with players who are clearly not AFL standard doesn't really prove anything.

If you want my opinion, I think Daw has HUGE potential... but at this point in time, that's all it really is. He needs to play the rest of the season to give him experience & (hopefully) confidence. Then we can all better judge his worth.

To me, it sometimes looks like he lacks the smarts, intensity & fitness to compete. I think that should come with more game time & confidence.

I'm hoping as much as anyone that he fulfills his potential, he is bloody exciting to watch.

Firrito in for Mcmahon. Does anyone know if Mullett is still injured or didn't he get a game?
Dunno mate.

So is Mullett one if those 1 week injuries that extends over six weeks?

Good to see Wood as emg for the first time.
Didn't see that. Now see that Anthony's also an emergency. How much does that count towards rewarding form wiithout affecting the actual squad makeup, I wonder.

Wood as emergency, I like.

But mullet?? What's up with him?
