Well, it appears we are no longer finals contenders.

I am more than happy to drop the Saints game if it means getting a game into some younger players (plus the prospect of a better ND pick)

If we're not in contention, bring in the likes of Lewis Johnston for Pods. Give him a chance to see if he can make something from nothing.

Bring in Matt Crouch for Wright. Can't do any worse, surely?

Why not give Battersby a shot? He's strung a few good games together now.

I would be happy with:
OUT: Wright, Pods
IN: M.Crouch, Johnston

Also, if Laird is injured (fingers crossed he's not) could Battersby be suitable to replace him?

Irrelevant. The list isn't good enough, the coaches aren't good enough. There's lots of teams in our situation too, but gee whiz we need an overhaul in every department.

We don't stink to bottom 4 levels, but we're miles off contention.

Right. This season is done, and we don't deserve to make the finals.

Out: Podsiadly. Basically cost us the game. Not to return in 2015 unless injuries require.
In: Grigg. Would rather have his lethal foot around the half forward line

Out: L. Thompson. Crap defender, not good enough for the third tall spot.
In: Siggins. Worth checking out how he goes in the AFL

Out: Wright. Simply not good enough, it's time for his golden pass to end
In: Kerridge. We need a tagger and he's it.

Out: Laird. Why he was sub is beyond me because he's not an impact player. Likely injured as well.
In: M. Crouch. Best player in the SANFL for us

Out: Henderson. Not up to it at the moment (though worth persisting in 2015).
In: Atkins. Close to a call up and now's the time.

Jenkins is on ice, but we have no-one to replace him with, especially if Pods is getting dropped. Rutten stays in for a home-ground farewell as he's a club champion.
