All of you that want Jaensch dropped are not able to see past your own biasness. Apart from one kick today he was decent. His defence was better than last year especially on Monfries, but yes Wingard was too good in the air for him. Not his fault, bad match up, bad coaching. If you want Jaensch dropped, tell me why you don't expect Brown out first? I personally want Laird back in next week, but would be for Brown ahead of Jaensch. (If I was coach, Reilly out for Laird). Brown is still not providing pace and rebound. At least Jaensch is trying to. No one else in our back half can.

People being harsh on Radar, there was many many worse.

He's one of our most experienced players and he has no composure at all. He's just the kind of player we should be weeding out. We have way too many players on our list who shit their pants when the heat is on.

Its not his fault he plays in defence but if we want to play him there then Laird has him covered all day

See I didnt think he was that bad, ran well and took some decent marks. He made errors but not as many as some

I think one of Reilly's biggest problems today was that he was led to the ball often and that his opponent's had him beat for pace, even Butcher a guy much taller than him got around him easily. Mind you he did do one or two good things, and considering his preseason and how we allowed the ball to enter our defence so easily with little pressure on the ball carrier his chances of winning his contests wouldn't have been high.

Its very hard to judge any defenders tonight, they didnt get any help bar Sloane and Thommo.

I have no confidence in Sando swinging the axe but it needs to be done. So much deadwood to clear out from this team.

Out: Pods (old, slow, done), Porps (finished, you were a good servant but your time here is done), Shaw (not AFL standard), McKernan (ditto), Jaensch

In: Laird (need some mongrel back there), M. Crouch, Jenkins (couldn't be worse than Pods surely?), Lyons (why was he dropped in the first place?!, CEY/Cameron

How far away are Lynch and Otten?

maybe Lyons has questioned sando's game plan?

Watching the game tonight, we have the Swans covered for pace atleast.......

I agree. If you missed my point - he's there for rebound. I feel we need more from Brown. I thought he was quick? Or as I was saying - Laird in, but Brown out before Jaensch (if Sando continues with him in defence) I personally would like Jaensch on a wing.

Out: Porps, LJ, McKernan, Shaw

In: Jenkins, Lynch (longshot here), Laird, M.Crouch (sub)

Pods gets once more chance cause he's on a new team. Rutten is on thin ice too and could make way for Hartigan. CEY, Riley Knight and Charlie Cameron all standing in waiting.

Hinkley said some interesting things about Impey today. They asked him about having Betts kick 4 on him and Hinkley basically said he's a young kid who they expect to be in the side for a long time, so they're going to back him in, even if he does make some mistakes. Would like to see Sando do that with some of our kids. None of this sub, first in/ first out stuff. Take a Crouch, Cameron or whoever and tell 'em "We think you're going to be very good, we're putting you out there, if you make mistakes, make sure you learn from them, but don't go out there thinking I'm going to drag you if you make a little mistake. Just go out there and take the game on"

Jaensch isn't playing bad footy, he's taking the game on more and spoiling more. Thommo had a good game despite everyone calling for his head. Mckernan deserves another shot, he had a quiet game but played alright leading up to it. Shaw did some good things but butchered some kicks (who didn't), but needs games to get his mojo.

Porps isn't having an impact and looks shot. Pods looks terrible in all aspects and doesn't deserve a game next week. Lewy j is embarrassing to watch, gives up halfway into a contest. Crouch looks unfit and struggling. Sando looking way out of his depth without Bailey. Danger struggling. No passion or mongrel.

Very disappointing game and looks like we are going backwards. We have a few injuries that make a big difference, but that shouldn't affect our effort. Not giving up on the season but things need to change quickly and we need otten and lynch back desperately, really missing them.

OUT
Pods. Done nothing, slow, can't take a mark...gone.
Shaw. Looks soooo slow, crap kick...gone.
Porps. Shouldn't even played this week...gone.
Crouch is playing injured and looks ordinary.
Brown is vanilla, just not doing enough.

IN
Anyone who can play at better than 50% efficiency, because we sucked today as we did last week as well.
JJ, Laird, Hartigan, Cameron, M Crouch, Lyons. Any of these will do.

McKernan stays only because he is a better back up ruck than JJ, but shite Smack provide a contest you big spud.
Thommo needs a rocket. He needs to switch on from the start not when the game is over.
Play Jaensch on the wing. HE IS NOT A DEFENDER!

Is Danger injured or hit his head before or during the game, because that was the worse I have ever seen him play. His decision making was comical.

Thanks the heavens for Dougy, Sloaney and Betts. Sloane for next captain.

Wow. Harsh on Thommo. He got us in front in the 3rd.

Our game plan leaves a lot to be desired. We are back to Neil Crag's handball happy team that handballs into trouble rather than out of it.

I also question our fitness level. There should not have been any doubt that we would be one of the most affected team with the capped interchange because we rotated a lot in the last couple of years. It is showing because we are out on our legs at 3 QTR time.

Is it really a surprise that the best 15 minutes of our game was at the start of the 3rd where we went long and direct as opposed to let throw 10 meaningless handballs to get into more trouble. Just move it on by foot quickly FFS.

We were given a football lesson today on how the game should be played. Quick ball movement and quick switches. When we try to switch play, we go backwards then 4 shot kicks to stationary players. When Port do it, its 2-3 quick long kicks and by the time they switch they have 2-3 players lines up on the wing where they can walk it into the forward 50. Because we move it slowly and with short kicks, opponent has us covered. There is no space on that wing so we go backwards and have a costly turnover.

Just like later years with Neil Craig, we are trying to be too cute and too smart and we keep outsmarting ourselves. You bring in fully fit and firing Walker and Tippett if you like but if we continue to play the style that we are now playing, we will go nowhere let alone top 8. Shit needs to change and fast or we are stuck in mediocrity for years to come!
