Just listen to Sando's presser and here are my selection take always

No way JPod will be dropped so people need to factor that in Now

Pets will be back next week so I can't see Charlie getting promoted

If pods role is to be completely ineffectual then I can do that for free.

Changes for me:

Out: Pods, Mackay, Porps

In: M Crouch, R Laird, J Lyons

This is what I would like to see (even though i wouldn't be upset with Porps playing one more full game before we draw a line through him). If he is dropped this week - he needs to be told its career over.

What will happen:

In: Laird
Out: Porps
Shows that your emotion gets in the way of any logical thought

Yeah I can see it now - Sando, Dasher and Pods will talk about the game for 5 mins then it's like " what about 'dem days at Geelong - great times"

Sando mentioned Mackay as one of the best

Surely your not going to keep defending him.

11 poss up to halftime, playing like a millionaire - then he does what MacKay does - 7 poss in second half, 3 in third quarter when we had momentum and really needed him - another typical display from him

out.....b.crouch, pods, smack, porps

in.....Jenkins, Cameron, lyons, m.crouch

smack has to go, cant have jj smack and Jacobs all running around out there. Jenkins has to come in.
Cameron to come in, sure he might not be AFL ready but he is more ready than some of the plodders out there( we are screaming for pace)
matty crouch to get a taste, lets start getting games under his belt. lyons in, should never have been dropped.

pods and porps are done, papers stamped, I was all for pods recruiting, I was wrong.

Staggering isnt it, Lyons MUST come in for B Crouch. Porps dropped for M Crouch.

Sando needs to start acting like a coach and making some hard calls on players.

The guy who we recruited as a player would be best served as this mentor/coach. A half fit Walker, Lynch and Otten makes the forward setup look far better, Jenkins can then play his role without massive pressure.

Throw in Betts and another quick Cameron/Atkins type and we suddenly it looks so much better.

Getting J-Pod as a coach would be a very good move. However, his days as a player are over.

What did you think of Pods? When can we expect the contested marking to start?
Have to say though credit where it's due to WW - he was all over Eli Templeton pre draft, no one picked him, but look what he's doing with a rookie chance at Saints:eek:

WW said DMack has really improved his tackling, that one tackle must have been a ripper

Perhaps with the pick we gave for Pods we could have picked him

It's incredible that not one club looked at him - until the saints rookied him.

But now here's the thing - he was just a rookie, but a promising pre season and bang - he's getting games. Remind you of anyone - cough cough - Charlie ???

Well after yesterday I have finally calmed down. Just cant believe the way we played. I was listening to Rucci this morning and i think he was reading my mind cause he said just what i was thinking. Why dp we keep on drafting the same type of player. I know Sando loves contested ball but the game has changed back to running. There is no point in having a heap of players wanting to get the ball if there is no one on the outside to give the ball to. Mckay can do it as can Smith. Hopefully Hendo comes back soon so that we can move Smith to the midfield. Next week there needs to be about 5 changes.

Watched th Swans game this morning and they looked like they really struggled to cover the ground in the 2nd half

Some of their older players in Shaw, Pyke, Richards and ROK who are all 31yrs+ seem to be struggling at the moment and some of their younger players look a little too heavy and seem to have lost some of their run

Also interesting to note that Sydney in the first two rounds have kicked a total if 5.7.37 in 4 qtrs of footy after half time

On Buddy, with no Tippett and Goodes up forward Buddy looks like he is struggling to carry the load and is being double tagged, at least at Hawthorn he had Roughead, Gunston and Hale all drawing good defenders which made it difficult for teams to double tag Buddy

Additionally since taking the reins Horse Longmire has done little with the Sydney game however now looks like it is in the need of some type of refresh

Even despite our form after watching the Sydney game I am more confident now at beating Sydney at home

The other thing I will add the loss of Mumford has been very under stated and with all the Buddy talk the Mumford loss and impact on the way the swans play has been largely missed.

Looks like low 20's and overcast next Sunday - should be pretty good conditions. Need to field a quicker team imo. Not against Petrenko in the side along side Betts.

Out: B Crouch, In: M Crouch
Out: McKernan, In: JJ
Out: Porps, Move Jaensch to HF, IN Laird.

Pods gets another go, at a new club, new game, new everything. Might take a little time.

I watched McKernan compete with the intensity of a moss covered rock against Port. No 2nd efforts, spectated as players walked passed him, looked like he was playing stoned TBH. Drive him to Victoria, kick him out of the car, and tell him he is free. JJ has a bigger heart than McKernans entire torso, and competes like a small player. I still think JJ could be a massive player for us.

I feel Jaensch is being harshly treated. There is a lot of bias on this board against him. Yes he got a lot of junk possessions in the back half. But he used them at 89% efficiency. I would like to see him at half forward before he is dropped.

Much rather see players who will take Adelaide no where, players who tread water removed. Like Porps and Mackay.

Footy moves in cycles. Maybe we should just bulk the fu** up again, get even slower, tank for 2 years, then in 2016 when contested footy is back in vogue we will be ahead of the pack
