Yeah it must be tough with the team absolutely flying and performances from 1 to 22...

Selection is tough again this week so many players like Reilly and Nathan van Berlo leading from the front and putting in consistent efforts week in, week out. consistently bad efforts

OK , just for you,.... I'll re-word.

....that stiffy understands how hard it is to get in the Crows team....while the Crows are looking to the future in setting up their back six with new blood like Brown and laird in the backlines where Stiffy played his best football but is now past it. Now, because stiffy isn't a seasoned forward and because of the even level of shitness throughout the forward line, he has realised that for him it will be difficult getting into the crows team.

I apologise for giving you the opportunity to remain looking like a complete dick.:)

Appears that both Wright and Lyons have been pulled from SANFL duty today.... According to AdelaideNow so could be crap.

If its true could mean a call up for both

Or more likely with the way things are going for us ATM, they'll miss out today and still not get picked next week, saying that they are lacking match fitness For such a crucial game

Not a bad thing for Lyon, IMO Lyon was not out of form but a rest would be beneficial and he will come back in next week nice and fresh

Na, Lyons will replace Kerridge, Wright will replace Petrenko, MacKay will replace Callihan and maybe Grigg or Brown will replace Porplzia.

Seems about right.

I think Grigg deserves a run, has been in very good form in the SANFL all season, about time he was rewarded for it.

We all know how the AFC works. The players who will be dropped will be the young kids and the non performing experienced players like Reilly, Otten, Van Berlo and Porplycia will be once again be left in.

Out- Crouch, Kerridge, Laird,

I cant believe how so many people are harsh on Crouch. He has only played his fourth AFl game, its going to take him at least a year before he completety finds his feet. I think he is doing okay for a first year player.

Crouch wasn't that bad - he's a kid, the manic pressure of a team like Sydney is exactly what we need to expose him to, but don't be surprised (or worried) when he struggles with it.

Worry about it when he's our Captain's age, and still struggling with it.

Smith wasn't that bad either - when you take into account that he was basically playing a lone hand trying to provide some drive.

Has done the hard yards. Give the lad a go.

Probably needs a rest.

For a few weeks, our selection started looking good, then we reverted to the same shit.

Our structures are wrong, and our selections are a mess.

Have been most of the year.

This is the week we need to swing some changes after that effort & agree we should be picking players like Grigg who are in form.

They talked about Grigg this morning and Bassett reckons hes not ready, found that odd.

Exactly and on Smith, he was one player who actually tried to move the ball forward. Not his fault the rest of the team was so slack they allowed themselves to be constantly outnumbered.

I have heard from a friend who is close to a Port magpies player that stiffy understands how hard it is to get in the Crows team and appears quite OK with that. Apparently is not overly fussed by not being selected, and is happy enough to run around with Port maggies. If this is the case and also Stiffy's attitude... and I have no reason to disbelieve my mate nor his source...then the stiffmeister is finished:(.
Yes, unfortunately Stiffy appears to have resigned himself to not playing for the Crows & not putting in the effort to get back into the team - loss of desire? Still playing handy footy for Maggies though!

Listening to Bickley today Kerridge will get a rest. You can read between the lines they are blaming the youth for being beaten up by Sydney.
No doubt we were an inexperienced team v Swans - I think half the team played under 50 game - but that is no excuse for a piss poor effort!

I've got the impression that it almost wouldn't matter what Johncock did, if he's get picked, it'll be because the Coaching panel has decided to bring him in (likely for a fair well game or two), not because of his actual performances.

If that's the case, I wouldn't blame him for losing interest.

And it highlights the danger of playing favourites and not picking on form.

Sometimes you're impression may be wrong ;)

Can't make minimal changes after a 77 point loss.

In:
Lyons - has been freshened up
Wright - had a good hitout last week for North (should have come in this week to give us another mid option)
Grigg - reward good SANFL form & puts Reilly in the gun.
Jaensch

Out:
Petrenko - injured
Porplyzia - my weekly call to drop a player badly down on confidence - I don't give a shit if he is a club leader!
Kerridge - needs a rest, look to bring him back after the break.
Thompson - injured/labouring & gives him 2 weeks to get injury right.

Mackay wasn't exactly setting the house on fire before his injury, so would give him another 2 weeks off & bring back through the SANFL for 1/2 weeks

Keep:
van Berlo needs to be given a role, as he has been played everywhere, which is mucking up his form. I would give him a run-with role on Cotchin.
Henderson/Callinan - shouldn't drop players where possible after 1 game.

Not sure who we play on Delidio as a defensive forward with Kerridge needing a rest - Wright?

B: Otten, Rutten, Laird
HB: Smith, Talia, Reilly
C: Vince, Dangerfield, Sloane
HF: Lynch, Jenkins, Douglas
F: Callinan, McKernan, Wright
R: Jacobs, Lyons, van Berlo
I: Crouch, Grigg, Jaensch, Henderson (sub)

Unfortunately he's still recovering from injury. We could try L Thompson I suppose, don't think we will though.

Luke Thompson was probably our worst performer in the SANFL on the weekend with only 9 kicks. As shit as Otten has been, we can't bring in a guy whose failing in the SANFL.

B Kerridge Rutten Laird
HB Smith Talia Brown
C Mackay Dangerfield Sloane
HF Vince Lynch Douglas
F Porplyzia Jenkins Jaensch
1R McKernan Thompson Crouch
INT Lyons van Berlo Grigg (Wright)

OUT: Petrenko (inj), Jacobs (inj), Callinan, Henderson, Reilly, Otten
IN: Mackay, Lyons, Jaensch, Grigg, Brown, Wright

Six changes (four unforced) is big but this is our worse loss at home in a long while. Need to be some hard calls made. Sando's first selection statement.

Major changes:
Jaensch back in and permanent small forward
Jacobs out with McKernan/Jenkins to share ruck duties
Kerridge to defence as 3rd tall
Mackay back in and wing

Line up a bit small but we've been slow as treacle and were killed at ground level yesterday.
Jacobs will get up, but don't mind any of the other changes. Sando and VB have both strongly hinted there will be mass changes this week, so lets hope they follow through.
