Interesting thread. I think it's great that in his fourth year of football Yeo had a game against one of the sides contending for the spoon that was the at the level of Fyfe's sixth game of AFL football.

I suppose that's why nearly all the posts are taking the piss out of the thread premise.

I feel your pain
It runs deep " Tupac"
No pain here, Freo's best mid is Fyfe and yours is still Priddis. He played very well on the weekend, surely your megathread of hate has cooled a little bit?

What does clogged refer to, exactly? Surely not your trophy cabinet..

Who gives a shit, I mean really?

It's a thread with opinions on a open football forum.

If this thread gets you all twisted and upset because a player is likened to another, then your life must be fan-****ing-tastic.

Get over yourselves and enjoy life. It really can be quite fun.

Player comparisons are strange. I'm thrilled with the way Yeo has played in the last three weeks, I'm not in a huge hurry to compare him to other players. He does some things better than Fyfe, and quite a few things worse, at this stage.

Hopefully if we get to a Grand Final he'll be able to at least score from set shots right in front.

You don't get to dictate what threads on this board are closed, dude.

And for trolling what you just did, you can have a week off.

Also thrilled.

But if two years ago somebody said we would have a Fyfe type player, everbody would have replied "From where".

Over East it was well documented that we were very keen in Bontemelli with our first pick with number 6 draft choice but as his stocks rose he became out of reach.

I guess that he was the type of player we wanted and needed and the club quite likely saw the same attributes in Yeo, hence the pick deal with Collingwood.

So 18 months down the track we still don't have a Fyfe but we do have a Yeoman.

More midfield time yes, though Fyfe missed most of a year with his shoulder

i think you will find that yeo coming into his 4th year played 20 less games then fyfe at the same point thats nearly a whole season!!! let alone the amount of midfield time...yeo much quicker then fyfe (let alone rest of comp) and better and cleaner by foot too, also more versatile and overall better natural athletic ability. I think you may find yeos contested possessions in last 3 weeks go close to matching fyfes however his clearances are lower but this will come (eagles much less dominant in rucks/hit out department as well take note). i will say that even though i havent seen fyfe be tagged hard lately (which is rare in the comp these days anyway) he probably still is getting some/more attention then yeo.

The Freo natives are getting restless, won't even troll on their main accounts. Softer than a Michael Walters staging attempt.

Seems like a few Elias' floating around ATM. Already cracking under the pressure of being premiership favourites? Long way to go yet......
