Let's concede that Fyfe is basically close to the top of his game (which I think he currently is) and that he is the best player in the comp (also conceded). To humour the OP it is worth comparing their past three weeks (from when Yeo was moved into the midfield):

Rd 5
Fyfe had 30 disposals @ 83.3%, 18 contested possessions, 8 clearances, 8 marks (5 contested), 3 tackles, 3 i50s, 1 goal and no goal assists.
Yeo had 25 disposals @ 84.0%, 9 contested possessions, 2 clearances, 9 marks (1 contested), 5 tackles, 4 i50s, 0 goals and 1 goal assist.

Rd 6
Fyfe had 27 disposals @ 74.1%, 15 contested possessions, 7 clearances, 7 marks (3 contested), 2 tackles, 5 i50s, 0 goals and 1 goal assist.
Yeo had 23 disposals @ 56.5%, 12 contested possessions, 1 clearance, 5 marks (2 contested), 3 tackles, 6 i50s, 1 goal and 0 goal assists.

Rd 7
Fyfe had 30 disposals @ 90.0%, 20 contested possessions, 10 clearances, 7 marks (3 contested), 3 tackles, 8 i50s, 3 goals and 2 goal assists.
Yeo had 29 disposals @ 75.9%, 15 contested possessions, 6 clearances, 9 marks (2 contested), 6 tackles, 4 i50s, 4 goals and 0 goal assists.

This is a very small sample size but over this time the averages are:
Fyfe - 29.0 disposals @ 82.5%, 17.7 contested possessions, 8.3 clearances, 7.3 marks (3.7 contested), 2.7 tackles, 5.3 i50s, 1.3 goals and 1.0 goal assist.
Yeo - 25.7 disposals @ 72.1%, 12.0 contested possessions, 3.0 clearances, 7.7 marks (1.7 contested), 4.7 tackles, 4.7 i50s, 1.7 goals and 0.3 goal assists.

Yeo measures better in tackles and slightly better in general for marks and goals (for the moment), but falls behind in average disposals, efficiency, contested possessions, clearances and contested marks.
Seeing as Yeo is conceding 2 years and 13 days and 52 games on Fyfe and Fyfe is playing out of this world at the moment I don't think the differential is particularly damning for Yeo.

That's what I was wondering. So Fyfe is two seasons and 50 games older.

Absolutely stoked to have this bloke in the midfield. Hasn't played 50 games yet and looks like a potential star, despite little midfield time in his time here (did he play in Brissies midfield or did they have him at half back as well?).
Looks to be Fyfe-like, but not on NF's level (yet). Probably a cleaner kick (he certainly looks more confident on a set shot at goal). Would be an interesting head to head in the next derby.

Yeo's clearance work is partially limited by his tank but also limited by his role in the midfield. Priddis, Sheed, Shuey are more the focus of the tapwork and the systems in place. Give it 12-24 months and you'll see much higher clearance numbers from Yeo.

I think you might Find that fyfe at the same stage/age in his career had played more afl games and more midfield time, Yeo losing majority last year with injury and this preseason as well. Also i remember seeing a stat last year when yeo started playing mid that he was our leading clearance getter for that period so i have no doubt that he will come on in that department, Also Fyfe has big sandilands getting 50 hitouts a week and clarke to back up. Did see Yeos Brother play a game in Wafl Last Year and earlier this year for claremont he looks like a big body mid that has a dip and good in clearances too so if thats any sign of things to come??
