Collingwood are anything but shoe-ins, are they in trouble?

Port can absolutely beat the Suns next week, as a send-off for Hinkley and Boak.

Gold Coast aren't exactly a powerhouse away from home....

They're currently paying $3.7, if you think they're a more of a 50/50 chance you should carry on them.

I just think that they have the worst form of any team to comp even worse than West Coast, Richmond and North right now.

Gold Coast can really obliterate teams if they focus on their pressure. I'm thinking the Suns are more likely to obliterate Port than get beaten. I hope you're right because I want Hawthorn to have a chance to finish top four, otherwise the Brisbane game becomes a dead rubber.

I was reminded of my rule not to bet on shite teams yesterday.

I wouldn't say Port are better than a 50/50 chance, but they can absolutely lift next week, against a fragile Suns team that will have the pressure of a first finals appearance to play for...

The only likely way Hawthorn or Collingwood are making top four is if Gold Coast loses to Port next week. Does anyone think that's happening?
The one thing that does give me pause is Hinkley and Boak's farewell. That absolutely could see them lift.

Port have looked awful away from home but they did play really well last week, maybe they'll lift at home? Still think the Suns lack the upside of the other Top 8 teams.

Lions hawks not a dead rubber regardless of suns result. Lions still need to winto confirm top 4 and hawks playing for home final at minimum.

A fair possibility I think. Gold Coast might choke under the pressure of expectations, and with Kenny's and Boaky's last game, the Power might go out with a bang! As the Hawks know as much as anyone, the Power can really rise for an occasion. I might even tip them here, depending on the line-ups on the day.

Nah they’ll hit some form with an easy kill v Dee’s & make the 4, regroup with the week off and do some damage.

Still tipping them to make the GF, and the MCG factor will give them a huge boost on the day.

Brisbane are pretty unbeatable when they’re on though.

If pies put the Dees away by 10 goals, it will be a fascinating final match of the season next Wednesday week.

If GC get over Port by 5 goals or so, GC would need to beat ESS by about 10 goals to get a top 4 spot.

It’s Collingwood incentive to go out and maul the Dees on Fri and make it as difficult as possible for either Haw or GC to get a top 4 spot

Doesn't really matter - Pies are going out in straight sets either way

Port have played on emotion many times throughout Hinkley's tenure, but they're checked out now. They still might get up for the farewell game, but I give it less than a 50% chance.

When I semi-joked in the Nick Daicos GOAT thread that they only had one more game for the season, two Collingwood posters accused me of not being able to count and that my post was embarrassing.

So, yes, they're still ahead of themselves.

Will help but i think the Ruck/Fwd setup just isn't going to cut it. Pies have done very well with what they have but better defenses will handle this forward line in finals.

The defense is the problem moreso than the forwards imo. All easy goals going the other way. Over the past 2 months I've become accustomed to seeing the opposition get the ball off a turnover in the backline and just knowing they are running that ball down the ground unopposed. Our defensive pressure and positioning for defensive plays is absolute trash.
