Hickey and 54 for 24 seems like highway robbery to me.

Hickey, 54 and 59 for 24 and 81?

On points, puts Hickey’s value at about pick 42. Leaves us with picks 24, 33 and 81 to take to the draft. The problem is one of those picks in the 50s was probably going to go to GWS for Langdon, but that could be a future third or fourth instead.

GWS were always going to match. They have the cap room with Corr, Williams and Langdon leaving and Shaw retiring so no reason not to match. Pick 11 is massive unders and they are clearly pissed off at the exodus happening and I can’t blame them.

They will want picks and players and I’m certain Wells and Geelong would have expected this. Question is can they convince any of them to want to leave because they can’t force them and I wouldn’t want to go to GWS, that’s for damn sure.

Geelong supporters that thought Cameron was getting there as a free agent clearly didn’t read the current landscape, I’m guessing a fringe player, our first and their first with a second coming back or something like that.

Past this comment I couldn’t give two shits what Geelong are doing unless it involves Narkle or Clark coming our way.

Let’s face it, only time we really need to think about Geelong is when it refers to 1992 & 1994.

I don’t see how moving Hickey on for a minor pick upgrade in an unknown draft is a good idea. Bailey should be our second rick next year so we’ll only have crab Vardy and beanpole Jamieson as our backup.

Hickey is a required player imo.
