Not me.

Bass continually leaves his own man to do the hard things and help out the team.

he is so underrated even by our own supporters.

Other than a great anlyst of the game such as myself of course.

Its a poor reflection IMO that Bass got no votes in our B and F last week

I am willing to bet that he did get votes in the Club award.

Similarly I thought Hart should've got votes last week for all the mopping up he did in defence. No surprise to see he's our number one rebounder. Everyone sees it differently.

Are we the only club to have two ruckmen in the top 10 of hit outs?

Will Bassett handle Richo this week or will he struggle as he does with Lynch.

Last year I would have given Smart the job but he is not fit enough this year after his injury

Perhaps try Bassett first and if not go to Ben Hart.

Similar - except Goody & Ladhams wouldn't be in our top-10 this year IMO. The rest look OK though & about the right order too.

Shows how important our rucks are to our around the ground clearances. No wonder Macca wants to sign on again!

Like Jars, no surprise to me. Has been a fantastic team man this year & if you guys don't start giving him more credit, I'll have to start rigging the votes! :p

After seeing Ladhams kickout last week, I can't understand why he isn't our designated kicker.

It's probably a bit much to ask when he's playing in the forward pocket. ;)

... & how is that different to Stewy Dew! ;)

I really hate it when you get a midfielder or a forward to go back and take the kick ins.

The likes of Dew, Stevens, Buckley, Crawford, Camporeale etc...

David Wildy pointed it out very well in the game against Carlton. Usually those midfielders do it to rack up their stats by kicking it to themselves, taking one step and kicking it long. Camporeale did it 80% of the time against us, which just highlights how good a job Shirley did on him. Campo had 8-9 possesions by quarter time and 22-23 for the match. He would have kicked it to himself and played on about 8-10 times. So in reality Shirley kept him to 6-8 possesions for 3 quarters:D

Buggar the possession thing - Ladhams doesn't kick to himself any way!

My point is Ladhams is a far better at weighting his kick than either Hart or Bassett. His kicking is far more precise & would allow us to set up more attacking plays (& hopefully goals) from a kick-in.

I wasn't suggesting that Ladhams was usung those tactics. I was just pointing out that a lot or midfielders/forwards that are designated kickers tent to build up stats.

I personally prefer one of the backman to kick in. While Edwards was playing in the backlines I never understood why he was not our designated kicker. Hart does OK and Stiffy is not to bad either.

I think Bassett's kicking is an underrated part of his game. The one that impressed me most on Sunday was when he played on from the goalsquare in the 3rd term and popped a 50 metre pass with the wet footy fair on the chest of Torney (I think), who was able to move it quickly on to Smart who was all on his lonesome on the wing.

BTW, 1%ers include spoils (and are heavily weighted towards them: 1%ers = knockons + shepherds +spoils + smothers). 9 of the players in the top 10 in the league in spoils are also in the top 10 in 1%ers, and they are almost all key defenders.

Because if he stands 55 metres out Ricciuto can blast a chest height kick to him and then he gets the next kick just like Saturday night.

Roos kicking is fantastic.
