Im reading the ICC rule book now, and can't find anything in there regarding a roof

Though,

Rule 20 (Dead Ball)
20.1 (Ball is dead)

20.1.1.1 it is finally settled in the hands of the wicket-keeper or of the bowler.

Could that mean stumpings can't occur as it's a dead ball once it reaches the wicket-keepers hands

And does that mean run outs can only occur on direct hits?

Hi Crows fans.
Not sure where to put this.

Anyone want a free Footy Record from,
1998 Grand Final - Adelaide V North Melbourne.
Be a shame to throw it out when it's in very good condition.
Pics attached.
Would need to be picked up from Salisbury Nth, or postage paid (happy to letterbox drop if somewhere on my travels North to South)

If no one else has claimed it I'll definitely PM you to take it off your hands.

Looking at the proposed location of the stadium - three options to be included in the training facilities loom large:

Domain Athletic Centre
TCA Ground
Hobart Aquatic Centre

There is already a pedestrian bridge across the Tasman highway from the Aquatic Centre to the Cenotaph ...

TCA Ground has an AFL history :)

Geelong are not the seventh best team in the competition. That much is clear after their swashbuckling past four weeks have shot them back up into the top eight on the AFL ladder - but still well short of where they really sit.

That’s why we have the power rankings.

Welcome back to 7NEWS.com.au’s AFL power rankings. Here’s where we think the 18 clubs really sit after seven weeks of evidence. Scroll down to see the full list.

6. Port Adelaide

Last week’s ranking: 8

Seven weeks of evidence may not be enough for Ken Hinkley to earn a contract extension at Port Adelaide, but it is enough to have some level of certainty that the Power are putting their hat in the ring this year. Gutsy win on the road against the No.1 defensive team in the competition. It’s a non-debate right now, but when the dust settles on the careers of Jason Horne-Francis and Nick Daicos, they will be an interesting comparison. Horne-Francis has given Daicos a massive head start, but the former has now entered the race.

7. Adelaide

Last week’s ranking: 7

They’re not the first and will not be the last to fall victim to a Collingwood thriller. That last two minutes might keep Matthew Nicks up at night, but that might just be a good thing long-term. Having 23 scoring shots to 19 suggests they should have won but, in Craig McRae’s words, the Crows didn’t “play the minutes”. You have to play the full 120 minutes to beat the Pies. Still right in the mix for a spot in the bottom half of the top eight.

How many GF records feature only one player from the participating sides on the cover?

Nah, the rained out days are hilarious as they hold on to the New Year Test and tell us how good they are. How often is the series still alive by then?

No roof for you!
Got me curious

2022-23 - Test 3 of 3 - Australia leads South Africa 2-0 - Draw
2021-22 - Test 4 of 5 - Australia leads England 3-0 - Draw
2020-21 - Test 3 of 4 - Series tied 1-1 - Draw
2019-20 - Test 3 of 3 - Australia leads New Zealand 2-0 - Australia win
2018-19 - Test 4 of 4 - India leads series 2-1 - Draw
2017-18 - Test 5 of 5 - Australia leads England 3-0 - Australia win
2016-17 - Test 3 of 3 - Australia leads Pakistan 2-0 - Australia win
2015-16 - Test 3 of 3 - Australia leads West Indies 2-0 - Draw
2014-15 - Test 4 of 4 - Australia leads India 2-0 - Draw
2013-14 - Test 5 of 5 - Australia leads England 4-0 Australia win

So for the last 10 series

Dead rubbers - 8 (For 4 wins, 4 draws)
Matches that was arguably a dead rubber - 1 (for 1 draw) (India had already retained the Border-Gavaskar trophy in 2018/19)
Matches that actually mattered - 1 (for 1 draw)

It's actually weird when you look at the history of the Sydney Test
1882-1954 - 26 wins, 15 losses, 1 draw
1955-64 - 1 win, 1 loss, 5 draws
1966-81 - 8 wins, 7 losses, 1 draw
1982-95 - 5 wins, 1 loss, 9 draws
1995-14 - 17 wins, 3 losses, 1 draw
2015-present - 3 wins, 6 draws

Ever since the 50s, it's been 1 decade of draws, 2 decades of results, 1 decade of draws, 2 decades of results. I wonder if there's a 30 year weather cycle

Think its the 2nd most rainouts in the world and easily the most in Australia.

They need a zipline over the harbour to keep them entertained. It will be pink .. of course.

It's not finally settled unless play is ended (nobody trying to make a run or an out) I believe.
